570+ RWHP 3080lb Camaro M6 vs 636 RWHP 1999 Procharged Cobra - HD VIDEO
A little backstory first:
Cobra is a 1999 Car, with a solid rear axle and 3.73's. Slicks n Skinnies, with drag suspension. Car has basically an 04 Cobra motor with a procharger producing 15-17 lbs of boost and makes right at 640rwhp / 600 Torque. Car weighs about 3400 dry.
Camaro is a 2000 LS1. Forged 347 with stock 241 heads and a big cam. Shot is a little bigger than the video states but I don't want to give away exact details. Car has 4.11's and a moser 12 bolt matted to the 6spd. Car went 11.4 @ 120 on motor before the new suspension and tires.
I, the camaro driver was dead set on a dig run. I even offered the Cobra 2 cars off a flag from the dig. Cobra driver stated his car simply did not work from a dig despite full suspension and huge MT Drs... but that his car would have no problem from a roll race... he was even so confident as to give me the HIT from a roll.
Now I am a real HATER of roll racing. I think it is some of the most *****, ricer **** in the world... and two cars with our HP, tires, and suspension should do it heads up from a dig but I was in a generous mood and decided to offer him 2 cars. AFter an hour of bullshit and debating... mostly from the Cobra guys crew and him not himself I agreed to do a 20 punch and he once again offered me the hit "to make it fair"
We both grabbed a passenger, and I borrowed my friends HD camera for the run.
We lined up around 20... and the Cobra snuck me up to about 25-30 not on purpose I don't think..... he said his speedo was off but he might have been trying to get me too high for first gear because he knew I was on 4.11 gears.
Either way, as soon as he signaled for me to go I nailed it, the kit came on and the car dead hooked. Now mind you this was the first time I've really sprayed my car heavy on the street....especially in first gear. I took a real chance and it really paid off. The car lifted up, and dead hooked 640rwtq from a 25 punch on a COLD street. You can see the violent jump it gets in the video. The cobra nailed it just after me, but he fell back and fell back quick. From chase car estimates and my passenger I apparently had about 5-7 car lengths on him but you can't tell because the camera man was trying to film out my sideview.
All in all it was a good run, and I got paid the $100 we agreed on.

Maybe he'll get pissed I am posting this everywhere and man up from a dig. He doesn't want to see my car on the pimp juice (VHT blend) and Nitrous from a dig.

Ok first off.....that Cobra driver is an idiot for giving a Nitrous car the HIT!!! Especially when he has Centifigal setup. Your car rolls out. His car should to.....would like to see some different rolls and digs heads up to? No giving the hit ****. Can he drive?

I can't remember if you said what kind of setup you have, but I was wondering if you could give me some advice on maybe which kit to look into and whether or not I will need a tuner with multi tune capabilties, one for the juice and one for just straight driving.
