Him
2nd Generation Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX Unknown mods

I was on my way to college when i noticed a white eclipse coming up behind me, i was early today, and i pulled into the turn lane to go to school, as he passes me he gives me a big rev, so i followed him. the road we were on led to a 2 lane highway, pretty much no traffic.... so im behind him, and im in 6th, so I pulled into the other lane, dropped down to 4th and we both hit it, i passed him easily, then slowed down so he could catch up, he did the same thing to me, pulled into the other lane and floored it, when i seen him do it i dropped to 4th again, by the time i down shifted he was at my rear quarter, but then i ripped away from him pretty hard, just putting cars on him, he didnt get to pass me, he just went back into the lane behind me....I turned around down the road, i thought maybe he would stop and talk, but he took off, gave me a thumbs up, and headed back to school.

with your setup and the ls1 with that weight you got a pretty quick car.

Very nice setup man. I got a question though...what is a GTA? I know it is a 3rd gen firebird, but...what do they have stock? l98 with the auto? Or is it one of those old turbo firebirds?

Depends if it came with a 350 or a 305. 700r4 was the only choice with the 350. 305 came with either a 700r4 or a t5.

If you ask the guy, he'll probably tell you it's a 350--the blocks look identical externally (unless he swapped in a 5.7).

I miss my thirdgen Formula 350, but I don't miss the L98

the gta started in 1987, went to 91 or 92, it had every option, could get either a 305/5speed or auto, or a 350/auto, it was heavy, about as much as a 4th gen 3500-3600, they had no fender vents, special wheels, special gold bird emblems, ws6 suspension and some had digital dashes.

my car is actually an 84 (but dont tell anyone) i found an 88 gta parts car and swapped everything over, thats why my car only weighs 3100, because its an 84.

ok, saw the car again today, it had a greddy sticker on the lower part of the car, only decal on the whole car, im really not sure if its a gsx or gst though, i would think the gst would be faster on the highway with only having to power 2 wheels, either way, it was turbo...couldnt hang with an ls1 though
