As always, it doesn't matter what you've seen or what you believe. http://www.nissanusa.com/microsite/n...me.P2#/home/0/
18hp and 6lb/ft more. I don't see why they can't run 12s when regular 370Zs are running 13.0-13.2.

I bet that extra 6 ft/lbs will really get it off the line now
With the extra weight from all the tacky add ons, and that stupid looking wing hindering aerodynamics, I wouldn't be surprised if it was actually slower than the regular 370Z. Just like the Nismo 350Z was slower than the regular 350Z.

It wouldn't surprise me if someone gets a high 12 out of a stock 370z.
Even the magazines have managed a 13.1 at 108mph. If a car trapping 108 and managing a 13.1 with an old fart from car and driver behind the wheel can't manage a high 12 then something is very wrong...
As for the Nismo 370z, it isn't out yet, it reportedly weighs 70 more pounds then the base model and only churns out 18 more hp (350) and 6 more ftlbs of torque (276). Its biggest advantage is its much thicker 285 tires vs the stock 245s.
I would still expect it to run about the same as the base Z though.
I would just stick with a base model; the base looks better as well IMO.

1st race- Friday night on the way home after work pulled up to a light on the service road of Dallas North Tollway and a 350Z pulls up next to me... I look over and the 350Z guy started Reving at me! I asked what mods he had and he said exhaust CAI and tune. He had thought I was just a reg CTS because he asked how much my V6 put out! I tolld him enough, but then he started talking about how tweaked out he was! I just rolled up my window on him in mid sentence. Light turned green and we went. He automaticaly jumped out by a car! By mid gear in first I was passing him and by 2nd gear I put about 3 cars on him! He then did the ricer move and jusmped onto the Tollway and took off! I wasnt able to talk to him after that!

The car is not even out yet, nobody has tested one, yet you're already claiming it will run 12's...as usual from you, all heresay.

And I suppose your Honda is??
F-bodies have torque as well as top end power. Thats why we can get off the line hard and still pull hard in the top end.
You need a V8 to do that. 4 bangers and V6's are gutless, even if they can make decent peak #'s they are worthless down low.

You can't launch a LS1 car over 3000 RPM on street tires so it is a factor. That 370Z is a nice car but it isn't as fast as you think, given perfect conditions I'm sure those times are fairly accurate, but in the conditions most of us race in those times are a pipe dream. I've driven one and honestly they aren't that impressive. They are quick for a six cylinder car but I wasn't that impressed by the car overall.
