01 SS vs. my 00 TA young kid around town has a 2001 model SS camaro A4 that his daddy bought him. i saw the for sale sign before he bought it. the seller CLAIMED it has 400 horsepower. i know that doesnt mean anything but it has long tubes and full exhaust and intake. i raced him with the mods in sig except the clutch. we went from a 25 mph roll. we were dead even through my third gear and when i hit 4th i left him. he is now telling everyone i sprayed him.

sounds like he ran out of gear, or tried to shift the car himself (which is so stupid in an A4)
I was always able to hang with like modded 6 spds until I got above 90 MPH (3rd gear for an A4) after that it was like someone sucked the life out of my car. He should learn not to race 6sds from a roll in an A4

Yeah, the A4's 3rd is equal to the M6's 4th. In a race like this third gear falls on it's face. I wish the auto had just 1 more gear between 2nd and 3rd and had a taller 4th.
I love my auto for the convenience of not having to shift but the gearing blows goats.
