Default Fun race with a Cobra

Ran at the track friday at baytown, it was kinda funny cause I happen to line up with a 03 Cobra and he's running on drag radials doing a nice burn out and all, an my vette is using bfgs kw with a hard *** 300 tread rated compound tire. So I' am thinking he's got the upper hand . I treed him at the light and were running hard to the finish line , I look over as we near the finish line and I only had him by a half a car . IT WAS A DAMN GOOD RACE , WE BOTH RAN MID 12'S AT 116MPH. O YEAH" I WON THE RACE with a regular street tire.

Nice run! Close races are the best.

Ver nice kill! Close races are absolutely the best (unless the guy you're racing is a **** talking *******...then you just want to destroy him, lol).

Mods are patriot heads, comp cam 238/242 fullexh fast92intake etc ... the problem now is I need $2000.00 clutch upgrade (labor included in the price ) next in order to trap higher on the topend. My stock LS2 clutch has 45,000 miles on it now. the higher the speed the more the slipping clutch is noticed ( shifting from 3rd to 4th ).**** for vettes ain't cheap

Nice kill. You should be trapping way past 116. Clutch costs in C6's are a beast

Good kill on the Cobra. Now get the car running right before you run into a strong one!

I am changing mine now and going with a spec 3+ the clutch itself only cost $400 and I am doing the labor myself. It took My dad and I 2 hours to tear the whole driveline minus the engine apart and move it 2 feet towards the back and now I am waiting for the clutch, a pilot bearing , and I May have to buy a new torque tube or get this ones nose remachined

Nice kill, get that thing fixed. You should be trapping way more than 116.
