Default riced out WRX eats my exhaust

on the way back from a car show in Mesquite, NV this past weekend me and my buddy Jason with his stock'ish GTO met up with a GAAAYYYY riced out WRX with purple rims, huge fart can, big spoiler and a roll cage. i think i scared him with the 70mph 3rd gear pull cuz i left that mo'fo like he was standing still.. on the 2nd run, as he was " flooring it" i slowly pressed the gas peddle down keeping the front of his car just about even with my rear quarter panel... then jason walked over him as if he was racing a chevy aveo... after gettting his *** handed to him 3times he didn't want to play anymore,. i dont know why though we were just taking an easy sunday drive! we also met up with what looked like a few Hawaiians in a pick up truck and a family of 4 in an old blazzer who where taking pictures and video of our cars for a good 60 or so miles... that was a first! thankfully no tickets, nothing broke and no one got hurt.... well, i'm sure the ego of the teenager in the WRX trying to impress his girl friend got hurt

WRX's are slow in general. On the highway they are just a joke.

Nice kill.

We know a guy in our town who has an 07' WRX with intake, exhaust, boost controller, who goes nose to nose with my brother and I from rolls. I think he's pretty fast even though we basically just have lid/cat-back. But I payed $12,500 for my T/A and he payed $28,000 for his WRX

The 07's still dyno way under 200HP, he must have something else done besides just I/E and a boost controller, especially to hang from a roll.

i always thought that these cars had respectable performance... 0-60 5.6 secs, mid 14 1/4 mile... but after my brother smoked one in his 98 gt (260 rwhp), i have lost general interest in them...

****, compared to a bone stock ls1, modded gt felt slow and weak and it burned a wrx no problem lol...

I was going to mention those damn STi's are quick as hell, especially on the freeway. Of course they're like 35 G's so the should have some power but a lot of people will be surprised because they are jap cars. If I had to go jap I'd take one.

what? STI's are pathetic on the freeway unless they're heavily modded. and the only reason they're any hell at all is because of their training wheels.

Agreed. My friend has an STi with a catback and tune, 1st through 3rd set you in the seat, after that you might as well get out and push. Anything over 100MPH is a joke.

No...it just stops pulling and acceleration slows to a snail's pace.

Given enough miles, yes, eventually.

When i first got my GXP i did a run against a wrx sti with a fart can and a tune. he pulled about half a car max on me each time we from 60km to 120 km and after that i pulled right along side of him which he didnt seem impressed until i mentioned mine was stock which then pissed him off. He musta had a agressive tune cause everytime he shifted gears black smoke came out the back end..then around 125 white smoke..followed by blue...lmao

how many of those who own the WRX, STI, Evo, ...ext actually drive then for which they were designed to drive? RALLY!! not straight line if i had an Evo an i would looooove to get one i would be spending the $$ on snow, ice, tarmac, mud, sand tires, huge foglights on the front bumper roll cage tow strap kit, skid plates,... all them tools to drive the car in the conditions for which it's design is based off of

There is a huge difference between a WRC car and an Evo or STi. If you want to say they're designed for rally then it would have to be a tarmac rally.
