We went a couple of times from a roll on the interstate, around 60-69mph each time. He hung pretty decent for a sec or two, not by my side but I sloooooowly pulled away for the first 2 secs and then I got into my power band and pulled like a freight train, not sure on car lenghts, but 5+. Didn't look to see what speed we got upto except for one time. That one time he started ahead of me and got a 1 car jump, and like before I slowly reeled him in for about 2 secs and then I pulled pretty crazily past him and off I went up to 130 before I let off, he was 5+ car lengths back. Anyway, anybody know how fast the turbo eclipses are, he didn't sound stock, loud blow off valve and some gauges on the pillar, wasn't riced out or anything either.

They can be pretty fast, I believe they get into the 12's easily. Good kill

DSM tuners are some of the most respectible import tuners around. He had to have some work done to stick with you that close (5 lengths) with all the mods you've got- stock turbo Eclipses are like high 14 second cars (14.6-14.9)

nice kills around where I am, stupid turbo eclipses are among all the other rice. Stupid kids that put fart cans and stickers on them. No respectable tuners around here, though, I agree, the DSM guys usually are the cooler of the import crowd.

first gen gsx eclipse, if you build up the tranny and avoid crankwalk, which is a bad prob in the 98 eclipses, you wil have a solid car. do you remember turbonetics.com gsx!! those little 4g63 motors can make power. like i have said KNOW THY ENEMY!

as far as potential...they had a 8 second 1st gen eclipse in the multimedia section. I'm talking about a doorslammer too.

and like he said, the first gen trannys are just fine. too bad the car is plain ugly.

i digs the 2ed gen dsm's. yeah just make shure you get your hands on a j-spec tranny... i hate that we get shafted on our imports.. thats why i will never go us market imports.. if i ever get one it will be fresh off the boat. it is amazing what they can get outta thouse little 4 bangers.
