H/C WS6 vs bolt on C5...
Ok here's the deal my car is an A4 and the C5 is an M6. We really didn't get to run them because of traffic ahead. Anyway, here's the story... C5 says he has an intake and exhaust, has G2 stickers on the outside but says he just thought they looked cool. We go from a 50 roll and he instanly puts me at his rear bumper, I stay there for a few seconds and then start to pull up but he gets out of it and we don't race again. Not sure what speed we got upto but it wasn't very fast. Now if he only has intake and exhaust and I have my mods, will the A4 really hinder me that badly without a stall against an M6 even with my mods??

P.S. I plan to order a Yank SS4000 very soon....

He might not have been lying to you!
Sheesh, an M6 will absolutely DESTROY an A4 at certain speeds on the highway, even with a hp advantage.
From a 50 roll = 2nd gear ownage vs. an auto with a stock stall/stock gears.
My advice is to race from a dead stop. Because once you get rolling, you are playing HIS game. 6 speeds rule the highways. Period.

I'm not too worried about it, I'll let him show the vid to his friends and let his head get big etc... let him talk trash. Because my YankSS4000 is on it's way sooooonnnn...hehe hopefully this will help with highway runs !! I know where he hangs out at, I'll go race them again from a stop and a roll and see what he thinks of it then.

I was talking LS1's Mario
And why would he be bragging that he beat a firebird? Most people EXPECT a $50,000 corvette to beat a $25000 pontiac.
Gee, I wonder what I could do to that pontiac with $25000?

Okay look at this:
Looking at the gear ratios, I think I know why the race came out like it did.
He had about 1000 RPM on you, where he was in his torque band and you were not. Right at the begining of the race. That absolutely killed you. That's why he instantly put you at his rear bumper, then you started to reel him in as you kept at it. He started much more in his powerband than you did. Combine this with the better gear ratio and more efficient power transfer of the M6, and you shouldn't even wonder why the race came out like it did. Hell, I bet my mostly stock Z28 will beat you for the first few seconds of a 50 mph roll with 3.73 gears.
Converter should show him what's up.
And also, why is he bragging period? It seems to me if you were pulling on him you would have won in just a few seconds. So challenge him to another race.
Dead stop would be my choice, if not go for a 60-65 mph roll.

yeah your main advantage is from a line all you have to do is feather the trotal to controle traction... prey off of his lack of driving abuility ... if it is from a role make shure your the one to deturman when you go... that way he will most likely drop in the wrong gear.
belive it or not the best compatition i have ever had so far is a 350 ferio.... crazy hp and light weight
