last thursday night, coming home from a local meet, i saw a Supra from the meet pull up behind me and he drops it a gear or 2. so we honked it off, i was at a very high RPM in 2nd and on the 3rd honk, i left like a bat out of hell. iat the end of 3rd, i was probably 2-3, maybe 4 cars out, so i let off. he pulls up next to me (real young kid) and says "whats the thing got in it?!" i replied a "stock LS1" "****, things badass!" and then he tried to pull away but i dropped it a few gears and ended that just for ***** and giggles. he laughed as i passed him. cool kid and im going to see him this week at our local meet again. hes usually at every one so ill try and scope out what his exact mods are. ive heard from more than a few people that he is just intake, turbo back exhaust and a tune.i was kind of skeptical of what all he had, considering how hard i pulled him, and all i have is 3.73's.

anyways, tomorrow night ill make sure to bring a camera so we can get this on video, since hell more than likely be there and ill make sure to get a mod list.

Sounds like maybe an MKIV N/A Supra.

Probably. Insurance on a TT MKIV is rediculous....if the guy is around my age (20) I doubt its TT. Not to mention he got left pretty hard by a stock ls1.

x2 TT supras with stock turbo's will run with stock ls1's

Im pretty sure it was just stock twins. A N/A MKIV Supra runs 1/8th mile times comparable to what my v6 Mustang ran.

My guess is MKIII. My buddy has an MKIII turbo thats pretty much stock but theyre pretty quick. I havent raced him yet but I bet the results would be almost the same as the OP. Good kill!

according to motortrend stock tt supras do 5.7 secs 0-60 and low 14's 1/4 mile
stock for stock, i doubt a tt supra can run a stock ls1... or at least it would be a drivers race

hey sorry guys, i was out sorting issues with my buddies lt1 and his stupid cam swap. it was an mkIV i guess its called, the 93-98? years, well you get the idea. i wanna say it was a n/a one also. im gonna ask the guy as long as he shows up tonight, or at least ask around about his car. when i saw young kid, i wanna say early 20s. i really dont remember if he even sounded loud, its been a week now, but ill definitely check tonight and get a video. im going to run a built 96 306 tonight so ill have the camera with me. i just wanna see where im at before i start modding. hes at 350rwhp with 2.73's so hopefully ill at least stay close, figure ill still be 1-2 back, maybe more. i also might run an SVT contour cuz he wants to do a before and after since hes putting the turbo back on, since it originally blew his tranny and his tires off 400rwhp in that light car is a super sleeper.
