Obliterated a new Genesis
 

On my way to a Dyno day at a local shop in Mexico, hit an open spot on the road. I get on it a little as it was a nice day. Didn't even realize it but I see a lime green car trailing me to about 70. I slow up a bit and along side me pulls a 60 year old or so guy with his wife in the passenger seat. I hit it a little and back off thinking this guy has got to be kidding...looked bone stock. Well he downshifts and I gotta say took off a little faster than I expected, he jumps to about 2 lengths and I hit it, reeled him in quickly and dispatched him with some boost. Got about 5 lengths on him at 100 or so and backed off, not to rub his face it. Have to admire his balls to do that with his old, and I mean old, lady in the passenger seat. Came up to the next light and gave me the thumbs up, suprised I didn't get the ricer fly-by I gave him the thumbs up back. A little puppy kicking but fun anyway.

How can you even tell the V6 from the turbo4?

v6 turbo bout 280+ hp with alittle work they can crest 400 hp on the stock motor not that im a fan of them . Nice kill to the op

V6 isn't turbocharged. The turbocharged engine option is a 4 cylinder. I haven't seen either one on the roads yet though.

Wow I didn't even think about the turbo I'm assuming it was the V6 it moved out ok. Yea I remember reading the shootout with the 2010 Mustang they said most of the tuner guys would opt for the turbo because it was Mitsubishi built so it lended itself to modding better, I have no idea how to tell though.

Good massacre. It's cool to see some rwd cars coming out, but sucks that the big draw to them seems to be because they will be good for "time attack" :rolleyes:

The tragedy would be if drifting were the appeal. Time attack looks fun.

I can say that at least time attack is a real sport. Drifting is about the equivelent of automotive cheerleading...can be fun to watch, but it's not a sport.

Listen popcorn or whatever your name is...The new Genisis is one of the hotter cars to come out recently. The turbo 4 is the same motor thats in the EVO and even with your limited intelect should know is a very fast car with some mods. How do I know what he has done to it. He tried me so at least he thinks it's fast. I read about how LS1's kick the shit out of 2V Mustangs every day on this site. Why don't you post your stupidity on their threads you idiot. Let me explain this to you, a genesis is 10 times the car a Corolla is so now at least you know that so you don't look as stupid on your next post.

A Mach will put down about 280 or so to the wheels IIRC...stock. They are a drivers race with a stock ls1 F body, though the edge goes to the F body as the speed increases. It isn't some little 2v 4.6 mod motor...

The Genesis sedan has an optional 375hp 4.6l V8, but it hasn't migrated to the coupe. Yet.

you do know that his stang would drag you up and down nearly every highway in this country....just not sure if you gathered that fact yet.
