Does anyone have problems getting someone to run you?
I know this isn't a kill story... but the problem is, I can't get anyone to race me to post a good kill story! I don't go after everyone, but every once and awhile i'll run into a car that might give me a good run. I try to get them go without being an @$$, but they just ignore me. Ricers come up on me, then they back off. I'm assuming they see the bowtie on the back and they realize it's not a V6.
So am I the only one that hasn't raced anyone?

man let me tell you my situation, i couldnt get any one to run me either. for money that is. everyone wants to run for free! not. only with my best buds will it be for free. anyway there isnt many f-body cars that race around here, alot of mustangs (slow) with only a few that were quick. the only one that would run me was the fastest one around, or supposed to be. anyway i ran him when all i had was a catback and i put 2 cars on him. he spun and i left. he got so mad he kicked his taillights out ,dented his fender , went home and broke a coffee table, got a gun and was going to shoot the car! no ****. well his wife made him sell the car. it was a 93 cobra. after that noooobody would even talk about running me unless i gave them stupid odds like 2 and 3 cars and mine was stock.so no i dont get any runs either. but hey its fun to have people scared of your car . the only loss i have is when i stepped out of my class and ran a 70 camaro with a 406 with stage 3 heads and slicks. oh well had to try it, nobody else would run me.

hey unit & phantom, trust me i know my limits. the only reason i ran that car is he just got it put together and his last 406 only ran 8.30's in the 1/8 . he gave me some odds to. i didnt know he was going to have slicks until he got there. i had 3.42's and street tires. he had to daylight me and did but only by a fender. look at my mph my car runs through the 1/4 . it ONLY runs low 12's because i cant heat my tires and launch my car. the clutch will slip. i leave the line like its a stop light then get on it. the mph is what counts on the street, not the time. but dont worry my car wont be stock much longer . oh when i run my friends ss's with the same mods, one is an auto the other a m6 i beat them easy.2 cars. on the street its alot about the driver. later guys

Take it easy silverbeast. No one was busting your *****. Just shootin' the breeze here...
...while 114mph is nice, it's still only the trap speed of a slightly modded car. Get up towards 130mph and now your talking!
Any street racer will tell you that the launch will either make or break you then the mph will win the race for you.

traction on the street is why 10sec civics (lol) get beat by stock z28's, I've raced a few low 11sec. trucks when I only had a few mods on my car and won on the street w/street tires too, I cant get ANYBODY to race me on the street anymore, I wuz thinking of painting my car and taking off all the badges and dressing up in disguise just to get some action, maybe if they think its somebody new with a v6 they'll wanna run for some $$, around here there's alot of fools spending all there money modding cars that are slow pos's, damn its irritating

i cant wait till my car traps 130's . that would be fun. there was a guy picking on a buddie of mines mustang. he wanted to race for 1000.00 dont know what he had but it was a newer model. oh yea this is rice central too. we are the home of the worlds fastest neon. i know its a dodge but its still rice to me . it started with a guy putting gas on a neon (who would have guessed) . he had 4 bottles, one for each cylinder. now its turbo. it runs like high 8 sec 1/4.the dodge place jumped on that quick and sponser him now. they started selling a ton of them. there are a lot of fast muscle cars to. they run for serious money though (drug money).the last one i went and watched was for $6000.00. and a friend of mine held the pot on a $20.000 race.they have some bad ****. cant mess with that. oh unit, didnt mean to sound offensive , just wanted to explain it the best i could . most people around here run from like a 10-20roll and race about 1/5 of a mile. a few people will go 1/4 but not many. thats why when we go to the track we look at the mph more than the time. there is another neon running a 7.50 1/8@105!! times not that fast but damn 105. still a neon . later guys

You know what Chris...I retract my statement. Every single time I drive my Explorer I see a badass car. I've literally seen Diablos, Vipers, blown C5's, nitrous'd LS1's, etc...
That kills me.
That kills me.

I have to drive an hour to Houston to find good races, when I had my GN no one wanted to race because the dumb ricers thought it was a turbocharged Monte Carlo SS. The only good races I had were against a 10 sec stang and my friend Eric's GN.
