I am waiting to put LCA's, PanHard Rod and SuperSucker or FastToys RamAir before I race him because I get alot of wheel hop when I dump the clutch. I dont think I will be doing internal mods anytime soon. My car only has 16,700 miles its still new.I will be doing only Boltons for now.

If he doesnt have the headswap on his car. Then he isnt making power for crap.Maybe 300rwhp thru the auto.Your ss with a good launch will KILL him baddly.
Sorry cant stand up for the stang in this one.Its a losing battle for the 96.

the win is definately yours with the good launch. see you know TITBAR is slow, cause his car is packed away in his garage and winter in texas is like 40-70 degrees. plus you know how slow everyone says 93 mustangs are. he is in a lose - lose situation

hey man, look at it this way.... stock a 96 GT puts down around 150 to 170 hp to the wheels. you add a powerdyne and some headers he might be doin 285hp, if that. thats the most he is gonna doon his mods i would think. i'd say you could get him by a good 2 to 4 cars. race him anyway. if he beats you tell him good race then go mod something and kick his *** next time.

I beat a stock 03 Lightning a about 9 months ago when my car was all stock with stock tires also. I took him by like 2 cars but threw 1st and 2nd gear we were side by side.Till I hit 3rd then I started to pull away. I think I will take the 1996 Supercharged Mustang. To keep in mind my friend bought the stang used so theres no telling how the car was treated before he bought it and put the supercharger and other mods on.

You should be able to take him I hope. . but then again it'll be close.
I raced a 2002 Mustang GT with a Vortech supercharger at the track once. Destoryed him twice however was still pretty close. His best run was 13.2
Can't remember what boost level he was at, guessing 6 - 8 psi tops.
My mods are as follows:
Raised airbox by 1/2"
throttle body bump stop mod
ram air setup
EGR mod
SLP air lid w/K & N
SLP Smooth Bellos
SLP 85mm MAF
Hooker Cat-back
3.73 Gears
ASP Underdrive Pulley
B & M Tranny Cooler
TCI Superstreet Fighter 3500 stall
BMR Lower Control Arms w/relocation brackets
LS1 Edit + dyno tuned by Delk Performance
Latest Dyno tune (sig is incorrect as before stall/gear combo)
301hp
316tq
My best run at Beech Bend Raceway in mid august with fubar shift points (reved out 3 to 4 times before shifting into 3rd gear) was:
13.06 @ 105.39MPH
The mustang trapped 109mph and was a 5 speed, however I still took him. We were even probably the first 60' but after that I pulled on him.
He was also on DR's
I was on BF Goodrich KWD Street tires.
I should be upper to possible mid 12s now with my shift points fixed and using DR's

But that reminds me of something else.
A buddy of mine is running 12.90s with just bolt ons in his GT. It's going to come down to the mods done and driver skill. If he has any suspension work done, with the supercharger, he may dust you in the 1320.
However if like the S/C stang I ran, stock GT with just a blower and cat-back exhaust, + superchip as the only mods. . you'll smoke him.
