Anyhow, i've seen what bone-stock Gen 4's do to bolt-on C6 Z's. So with HCI I imagine it was ugly.

Also, I don't know why people throw on their four-ways during a roll race. Makes no sense.

Am i wrong in expecting the viper to have bone way better?

I mean i have heard of the new vipers taking on ZR1s with no mods.

Now im not saying anything with 100% certainty just would like these facts sorted out.

a stock 2008 viper will eat and completely destroy a stock Z06 with equal drivers...



The 2003-2006 Vipers trapp 119-122 mph...The fastest recoded stock mph is 123-124 mph...............0-150 mph in 19.5 seconds................

The C6Z06's trapp 123-126 mph..the fastest recorded stock C6z06's are 127-128 mph..
......................0-150 mph in 17.5 seconds..............

this is why you see stock C6Z06's seem to just jog away from the 510 hp vipers...4 mph is HUGE...


The 600 hp 2008 vipers have been running 124-128 mph...With many in the 129-130 mph range...........0-150 mph in 16.5 seconds.................................

This is why stock for stock the 2008 viper will walk away..


This Ron fellows C6Z06 has been driven very well in numerous vids beating off several cars that on paper should have been more of a challange...

Took a head/cam 2008 viper to finally take it down..

I don't think so. Vipers are usually faster than Vettes for the most part stock for stock. But the ZR1 I believe is the faster than the fastest stock Viper.

Those Viper's are just mean and sexy. Having said that, If I was spending the money I'd get a Z06 over a Viper just for the DD ability.

It's hard to tell in a video like that since we only see them shoot by and then you can't tell what happened. The Viper might have been a few cars in front, but it's hard to tell at that distance.

LOL at everyone on SVT saying SLOW VETTE has spray...
I'll admit, it doesn't make sense that the C6Z beats half the cars it has beaten.

Any 08-present Gen 4 Viper will anihilate a C6 Z06 stock for stock. There not even close. There's roughly a 100rwhp difference between the two in stock form. And stock for stock vs. the ZR1 it's a drivers race.

Even a bone-stock Gen 4 Viper with a good driver will walk a bolt-on C6 Z06 with no problem. I've seen it done. Here is one example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2j5bDlir_g

The OP has been saying intake only for quite some time. If it's not intake only then he has some explaining to do...


The thing is that maybe 5 people have touched 127 mph trap speeds in 100% stock c6Z06's...and I know of two people who have touched 128 mph in 100% bone stock C6Z06's..This is stock from the air filter to the tires...

So as rare as it is a stock C6Z06 really is a 126-128 mph car in the best conditions with the best drivers...

Now throw on an air intake and your talking a 127-129 car again with optimum conditions and the best drivers

127-129 mph capability will lay the smack down on most anything Slow vette has raced other than this Viper...In the Vid the Viper looked like it put 3 cars on slow vette by 140 mph....


I have witnessed first hand what a stock 455 rwhp C6Z06 is capable of...It took 470 rwhp on my 2003 srt10 to just give him a run in the 1/4 mile...But he was still much much faster from 70-160 mph...Putting 2-3 cars on me...

A SRT10 needs 500 rwhp just to stay even with a stock C6Z06 from 70-160 mph..

C6Z06 adds an air intake into the mix and well...Good God help us all

Why? 650rwhp is stout, it will take a very nasty h/c/i/e zo6 to hang with that viper. Most H/c/i/e zo6 i have seem seem to hit the roof around 600rwhp.
