Default Just raced a 700+ hp Viper Truck

Leaving school, I am in the turn lane to merge onto one of the main freeways. In the other turn lane next to me, a bad *** red viper truck pulls up, with 700plus on the back window. I think to myself that I want a piece of this truck, so as we turn onto the highway, I try to follow.

I had a lot of cars in front of me, so safely moving around them, I try to catch up...but he is moving fast. I finally get close to him and next to him, but there is too much traffic. Luckily, we both get off on a exit to another major highway, so there I try again.

As we are going down, we are doing about 70-75, him in the HOV lane, me in the left lane. We try to line up several times, but no honks, and we are just blasting having fun. Of the many times we try this, the cleanest run we have starts with me in 4th, jump the throttle, let off, and he goes. I quickly floor it, and up till about 90 we are even, but then the areo disadvantage of the truck shows, and put about 1 car on him by 120. We do this several times, and both us look at each other and are smiling and laughing...bad *** runs. I wanted to try a 65 roll from 3rd, but he wouldn't slow down...luckily he does go to my school, so I will try to get a re run with him from a lower speed or dig to see how a blown v10 truck does.

I would say you did pretty well, if he truly is 700+. But that might also be at the flywheel, which i'm guess there are huge parasitic losses on a truck drive train, with 20" wheels.

I think from 25-30 you would have gotten run hard.

Nevermind, just read your sig again and you arent just boltons.

Nice kill... Consider yourself a lucky man for being able to find a free to go that fast on and not have to worry about those speed cameras.

With a shitty 2.0 60', I went 12.4 at 117. I was bogging out of the whole bad, and also trying to not destroy the 10 bolt all the way out at Speedworld. Friday, I'll be working on my 60' and hoping for 11's at 118 or so.

Yea I know. The roads I am always on only have the Mobiles...not all the stationary ones every few miles or whatever. Plus, this week, there hasnt been one mobile on the way we were going. On the way to school there is just one that I run into.

I burn oil too. No PCV system, just breathers, and at higher rpms, oil is blowing out of them. I'll show you at the track..you can see oil puddled up (like liquid, not film) on top of one of my coil packs. Yea, I need the jack still. Thanks man.

Dude, if I had a passenger, I would have FORCED the ****** to film. It was a sexy *** truck. Factory wheels powder coated black and red. Like, inside of the spokes were red like the truck. Looked awesome (sounds rice, but looked good).

Me and another buddy were talking about it, and we are guessing that it is flywheel power. Like, he bought a kit for it claiming over 700, and got it for the plate. I would hope a 700+ RWHP truck would pull a lil harder, even on the top end...but Areo does play a HUGE factor. Thanks for the props guys. Hopefully more runs and vids in the future. Coolaid...you'll be on call for video duties lol.

Nice dude, get a video of the next race.

Was it just a stock looking SRT-10?

Yea, I'll try man. Stock looking, red with black/red wheels. Stock ride height. Sounds good under throttle...couldn't hear how loud at idle though. You going to Firebird Friday?
