I recently picked up a 2002 DURAMAX 4x4 4door longbed 1 ton dually for towing... and the guy I bought it from has modded it with some Banks stuff... He showed me a bunch of real low 14 sec. slips but I don't remember the mph...
The truck will smoke all 4 REAR wheels with just a tiny braketorque....

the stock are for the sleeper look. If it doesn't look fast chances are your gonna sleep on it and get walked. Never know what your up against. Like mine in my signature.

I see probably a minimum of a dozen slammed chevy trucks a day and only come across two quick trucks. Rims are not gonna make someone have an opinion on weather a truck is a sleeper or not. The simple fact that it is a truck and fast makes it a sleeper. Stock rims on a slammed truck just looks ghetto imo.

Gunna have to tend to agree with LS2 KLR on this one, atleast get some TBSS rims for the stock truck if you really want to keep it stockish looking, cause obviously its gunna be loud, which isnt sleeper at all.

because if the rear of your car squats then you are actually unloading the tires. You actually want the rear of the car to lift, which in turn pushes the rear tires harder into the ground. That is called anti-squat.

Funny you ford guys should comment on rims. Considering in 1990 chevy put out the original 454 SS pick up truck that came stock with a 454CUI big block. With a little head modification and a cam it would rip your house off its foundation. Please note the North American Truck club that is all 454SS owners modified these truck with the new 572's id be shaking in my little space boots..

...And it was a BIG, front end heavy SLOW TURD. Heads were smog AND THE QUOTED 1990 DIDN'T EVEN HAVE AN OVERDRIVE TRANS!!!

Do a '91 with a 700R4, toss the heads, cam AND the F/I (junk TB)...
Put on the typical $4000 mod package and you may have a 12 second tire frying turd...until the nitrous.... lol

My brother in law has done exactly what I described and EASILY covers my 12.60 EVO.

Nice deaths. I just moved into a new neighborhood and a guy across the street has a slammed Chevy truck with the stock wheels still on it. I'll have to ask him what's up.

Guy I cruise with has a 05 Sierra Denali with a 408 and a 88mm turbo on, Plenty of fast trucks around here, honorable loss sir. Get the mustang back on the road and pass some losses forward.

Edit: and it is slammed riding on the stock wheels LoL but they do look nice. Ohh and its still AWD too

My 454ss look alike 91 sport is lowered on the stockers. They look good. Why the hell would I want to spend bazillions on bling and tires that just slow the truck down in nearly every facet? It's already slow enough

Btw....nice deaths there are some fast trucks out there. Mine would be if I didn't have my car.

or maybe they leave the stockers on to make people like YOU think the truck isnt worth the time until it starts running from you
