Firehawk VS SRT8 Jeep VIDEO INSIDE Kinda lame race. Highschool kid got his parents jeep out for the weekend. It was a little car cruzin in town. They wanted to race, thought it would lay the smack down on the ol Hawk. My dad says its fast but not that fast is it? A lot of other dumb retards thought it might give me a run. So we headed out..20 Roll, he honked, and I played with him the rest of the way, On street tires so I couldnt really give it much anyway. Easy into first, and second, shifting at around 5500 lol..normal is 68..Let out at 95 in 4th at about 4500..Really a waist of gas!

Theres no way hed do from a dig. I tryed to get him to last night and he wouldnt and after he say what I did just playing with him..he knew he had NO Chance..

No doubt you would smoke him once you got rolling but it would be fun to watch from a dig as those jeeps can pull 1.7 to 1.8 60' times all stock. With your street tires you would have to take it pretty easy and then play catch up.

Don't be so entirely sure... Granted I'm running a little faster than a stock Jeep, but the only dig race I've lost is to a Termi running a bit more HP than you. And that only by 1-2 lengths. It would take a good driver, or good tires to beat him so easily as you think, on the street...

Hosepower isnt everything. Dynos read different..Power to Weight ratio, Gearing, Weight of car, Traction all make a difference in a car. Last time out I couldnt do any better than low 12s. Thats before a rearend and slicks it ran low low 12s blowing the tires off. 118-119 MPH spinning through all gears, Now with a 28in slick and better gears, 1.5 1.4 60fts are coming! Probably looking at 11.45s to 11.55s to take a guess. IDK As soon as I get a chance Im goin! These Jeeps are not that Fast. Yes for an almost 5000 pound SUV they are fast as hell, but this one was stock, prob a mid 13s rig. On the street Im like anyone esle, I play around and just mess with them, I short shifted the car a lot..let out at 90-95 in 4th..I was barely on it. Like I said shifting at 55 or 6 maybe. I was attending a car show, not really ready to street race..I still spun a lil just barely on the throttle!!
Im goin to Pinks All Out with this turd in July, trying to change a lot of stuff but it all takes$$
So if a guy barely beat you had a bit more power and his car was probably a lot heavyer than mine, yeah it was probably a good close race.
Eather way I dont really care, it was a lame race, some kid thought he had a chance, Bring your rigs down here and a few of us Missouri guys would be willing to go have some fun!!

I get what your all saying. I wanted to go from a dead stop but too much traffic were he wanted to go. He wouldnt have it. I told him that was his only chance! He say no a 20 roll..then after that race he wouldnt even talk to me lol. I know how it would go..Me on street tires just as it was he would jump a car maybe car and half from 0-60. I would be babying it all of first, slow into second and as roll into it in second I would start coming around and I would pass him just like I did from the 20 roll..then hit the breaks after I get third, end of story..mid low 11s F-body vs a mid 13s SUV..thats how it sums up..(it wouldnt go mid 11s on street tires but got it in it on slicks. But Ill after I get my new wheels Ill be cruzin on ET Streets or a QTP..At least some Bias Ply anyway..
Iv tryed geting him to go out to a local spot thats been a good place for 30+ years but he wont..or more than likely cant get his parents to let him lol..
