So I've just got my simple bolt-on 99 Z28 and my friend just bought himself the 02 vortech gt. wanted to race me cause he thought he was so bada**. I decided what the hell ill give him some amusement. raced him and pulled it by two car lengths. haha. LSX FTW!

Nice Kill man I am from your neck of the woods also. Get that mustang on the horn I know of two more LS1's that would LOVE to have a shot at that thing. IF that mustang actually made 380hp it should have ran closer to you than that. I think he needs to get more seat time and get another shot at you. I'm not taking anything from your kill at all but I ran a 400whp 04 GT and was dead even both times we ran from a 30 roll. You should not have pulled that GT by two cars if it was properly driven. Anything can happen on the street though. Very Nice car BTW when we gonna meet up.

That's what I am thinking. A few 385rwhp 2v stangs around here usually beat slight to mid bolt on modded LS1 fbodies.

I know the OP and he has LS6 intake,headers,some suspension,and exhaust,CAI...and I am pretty sure that is it. Its an M6

Does he have a tune also? Either that mustang isnt making near the amount of power he says he is, or he is an absolutely terrible driver.

No one bashed on you sir. Myself and others told you good kill. Not a single person threw a bs flag. We simply stated facts that race should be closer than it was. No ifs ands or buts about it. You won I'm not denying that fact but simply put you beat the driver.

and going by your post I'd assume that you expected a lot of pats on the back since it was a kill against a mustang. Members that have been around the block a time or two will tell you like it is.......as you have now whitnessed.

I raced a supercharged GT around the 02 year range. Roll race from 60-110. A cop came over the hill at around 110. It all worked out. But, I thought it was a normal GT until i got next to him. It had a nice whine to it and he had a big smile on his face before we went. I heard that nasty whine out my window the whole time. I held His nose was at my rear bumper throughout the race. That was with A4 LT's, lid, tune, 3:23's and LS1 intake manifold.
