so i highway raced this 03 cobra with inconclusive results cause he got off the freeway, but later found out i work with the guy! so now we are setting up a race for next week. he has a pulley, exhaust, intake and other unknown mods that make a 460RWHP. my mods are in my sig, what else do you think i need that is not a heads and cam swap to compete against him? i don't need to obliterate him, i just cant lose. any and all advice is appreciated. thanks

you really stand no chance from a roll. if you have some sticky tires and he doesnt, and you can drive your car good. then race him from a dig to 100. you MIGHT be able to win, but still proly not, he should catch you. you should be right around 350 whp. hes got over 100 over you.

HOWEVER, ive hung with pullied cobras before too. so IF you race, get it on video so no one can say you didnt win

Do you have the money for a procharger LOL. If not spray a 100 shot just make sure you have some good sticky tires if you race from a dig. Do you know how long the guy has had the car, if he just got it or something chances are he is not going to be very good at launching it without spinning really bad and is he going to be on street tires?

100 shot should put you right with him. Other then that your talking a lot more money(heads/cam). I dont see a need for 150 shot. I went 118 in an auto with 100 shot and no headers so you should trap a minimum of 118 on 100 shot. with a 150 shot you should be low to mid 120s. A 460hp cobra isnt gonna trap mid 120s.

i highly doubt on a 150 shot he will lose to a pullied 03 cobra. If the cobra is making 460rwhp and OP with is mods should be around 340-350rwhp with a 150 shot he will be in the high 400's and have the weight advantage. Ive filmed and seen bolt on LS1's with 100 shots pull on pullied cobras with those numbers. But each car is different

I'd get some tires and 4.10 gears and only run him from a dig. Out drive him and tell him he just got beat by a car with 100rwhp less. Racing from a roll is ghey anyways.

I agree a cobra with 460rwhp is pretty much useless in 1st unless they are on slicks. I know my buddies spins through 1st and second easy so a dig would be bad if you can drive.

What are you talking about? With a 150 shot he'll kill him and a 100 shot he'll still win. With his mods and a 100 shot he'll have about the same RWHP and way more torque. When my friend was bolt ons with a 100 shot he made 555rwtq.

From a roll is gay? If you wanna find out what car is faster and not just who can drive better or who has better tires it's the only real way to find that out. If you just wanna beat someone a dig is great if you can hook up but for two friends like myself and my buddy with his 03 cobra we just wanted to know what car is faster with the variables taken out. Were going to the tracks tomorrow to run times to see who wins there.
