98 Cobra sees my half busted LED brake light..
So me and my girl go down to charlotte to race these souped up go karts, wind up not being able to race b/c the water isn't wrking at the complex, so on the way back to Lexington, Im itching to race somthing, i see some mustang tailights in the distance and give chase, get up and see the dual exhaust, as i pull up to see the rest of the car, the guy romps on the gas, i ask my girl if its cool, she was like ya, and buckled up, well he had the jump, but when i hit 4th gear, i started suckin him up hard,by 120, i passed him, we played some more, and every time i walked him, he pulls up gives me the thumbs up as i return them, and falls in behind for the ride, nice guy, and a damn good sounding car

Yeah, in an accident, you want the seat belts to stop you, not the airbag, and especially not the steering wheel/windshield.
I'm sure airbags save somebody's life, but i'm not entirely sure who's. When I totaled the mustang, the belts stopped me well before I touched the airbag. All that thing did was:
A. give me friction burns along my forearms where they pushed them off the steering wheel.
B. make the car smell ****** horrible and fill with smoke, which is one thing you don't need to see in your car after an accident. someone should warn you that they belch smoke.
C. cost an ungodly ammount *each* to replace, thus driving the repair job price beyond what the insurance company would be willing to pay for.
And then there are people like my mother, who's 5'1", and has to sit so close to the steering wheel that if the bag ever goes off, it's gonna bash her face in. Yeah I wanna give a BIG thumbs up to the asshats who introduced the manditory airbag laws, as well as the asshats (same guys maybe?) who fought the introduction of airbag disable switches.
