00 SS Vert M6 Vs 370z
Got a 00ss vert my with only a k&n fipk 2, lakewood lca's, cutout, free mods and a handheld tune with a six speed and obviously 3.42s. I hear the 370z cars are pretty fast and that they hand 3v GT's their ***. I'm going to be running a friends friend if that makes any sence. As far as I know his car is stock with a manual and he just wants to line up against an ls1. Any predictions on what the outcome would be. I would hate to lose to a stock import haha.

i ran a 08 350z with intake/exhaust with my car untuned and he hung with me till 80mph then i shifted into 3rd at 80mph then i just walked him till 110mph and had 3 cars on him, i dont think you'll have a problem with a 370z since they only have like 10hp more than a 350z

quite a few 370z trapping 107mph+ stock. but thats mainly the 7at. the m6 are actually alittle slower it seems on the topend. its all gonna depend on what kind of car you got. if your one of the mid 13's cars he will probably win. if your a low low 13 car you shoud edge him out. but i can promise you a decently driven 370z is a very very close match to the ls1 stock. and 02ws666 you might wanna take off the ls1 glasses form time to time. if you think he should easily beat the Z... just sayin. 13.0 and 13.1 stock times with 107 and 108 traps dead on with ls1's 2 fastest stock times so far. though yes just like the ls1's there are some guys running 13.3's and 13.5's also. just get it on video. will be a good race if he can drive it
a guy just today posted a 12.9@106 at a DA of 1024ft at some NY track with 96% humidity. with intake, exhaust, and testpipes thats a pretty good run for those conditions and minimal mods.

Just a word to the wise: If he knows how to launch his car, and you are on street tires; he will walk you in the first half of the race. Don't let it get you down, cuz you should come right back on him if you nail your shifts and get the best launch you can.
The 370z hooks really well: 0-60mph bone stock is over 1/2 second faster than even the 2002 SS/WS6 cars. Don't worry about what you are reading above either: you will pull on him up top- last I checked the 370Z cars are not .5 second + faster than the LS1 cars. If your launching abilities are in question at all, then go for a low roll race.
Also, don't compare them to a 350Z: 370Z is alot faster! Matter of fact, I raced a NISMO 350Z (supercharged) one week, then on the exact same spot of highway two weeks later ran a then-just-released 370Z: My guess is the 370Z would have edged out the NISMO 350Z. I was CAI and tune only then, and in a A4, and put about 2 cars on both from 55-110mph.
