Wanted to share the most competition out of any car I've ran (stock). I was just cruising with the top down in the Vette when these two kids (looked like they were in high school) roll up on my drivers side and yell out if I want to run it. I gave them a nod, downshifted to 2nd at 50, gave 3 honks and we were off (road was wide open). I immediately pulled out 1/2 car, but he stayed pretty close with me. By 120 mph, I was only able to pull about 1 and 1/2 cars on him. I was shocked. If you guys run into one of these things, know that they are no joke. Dont know if it was modded but it was sweet hearing it and the vette roar next to one another. Having the top down definitely hurt me though.

Gotta watch out for the luxury cars. They can surprise you! I raced a mercedes CL500 with my 2000 Firehawk. It was some schmuck taking it for a test drive with the salesman riding passenger. We were dead even until I hit 5th gear (yes 5th. I was probably going 145mph or so at the time) and I BARELY edged him. I later found out they had 385 HP, but never would have known!

I'm only a little surprised but bolt-on C63s are all over LS3s and a great match-up. C63 had a passenger too.

The C63 AMG has 451 hp/443 lb. ft. of torque and a 7-speed automatic with low gearing (1st gear is 4.38:1 !). Car and Driver managed to run a 12.3@116 in one.

The NA "63's" are 451 & optional 470hp+ for the C-class.

516hp or so for the E & SL, S, etc.

550hp+ or so for the SLS Gullwing.

The 600s are the twin turbo V12 600hp+ range.

This post is mostly correct with some exceptions as the SL65 AMG has a 6xxhp TT V12.


I saw a beautiful red C63 AMG run down a Ferrari 355 Spyder a couple days ago....It was a sight to see.

That's right, the 600s were rated at like 518hp or something? 65s as you stated.

something like that. The CLS65 had the same bi-turbo V12 as well IIRC.
