Default 01 TA FireHawk vs 02 SS Need ur Opinion !!!

Well I have a 01 FireHawk M6 With Slp Lm exhaust Slp lid K&N filter 4.10s and short throw my friend has a 02 SS M6 Kook LT headers Magnaflow exhaust MIT lid and some kind of after market tb, He wants to race when i get my monster clutch installed. Who do u think has the upper hand ? He has Lt headers but i have 4.10s, i think i should edge him out with the 4.10s and my better driving, What do u think ? Thanks for your input i will catch this race on vid when it happens

I think it will be pretty good race from a dig. But he might get you from a roll. depending on how fast your going

Gears help, but dont add HP....Get real, he'll walk you bad from a Roll.... A dig should be closer but not by much...If you jump out He'll reel you in quick....and if he cant drive, why race? or have him hand the keys over to someone who can..

You know there is a section for these types of threads right? Don't be surprised if this gets moved. Just a heads up.

I think it will be a driver race with the edge to the camaro. But hey if you lose then you have a reason to get LT's lol.

How come your hawk has a ram air hood on it?? The firehawk heat extractor hood is much better looking IMO. I owned a firehawk.....#646 of 749 I believe in 2000. MISSSSS that car so much!

Good luck with the race...gonna be close either way.

The ws6 hood was on it when I bought the car ! I like both so it don't matter 2 me. I also have a brand new set of jet hot long tubes in the building waiting 2 be put on. I might just wait 2 race him until I get those put on since they unleash the beast on these cars. I didn't think headers would help that much. But I guess they do according 2 yalls theory guess I will get those put on and blow his doors off then. Lol

From a few runs ive had the 4.10's on a highway run seemed to be slower then when i had 3.73's. Headers helped a lot from a roll however, so i am gonna have to agree with most and vote for the camaro.

My buddy had an 02 345hp SS and my other friend had an 02 Hawk and the SS would put 2 cars on him all day switch drivers samething outcome. Well long story short we went to weigh are cars one day and found the SS was alittle lighter.
