Just ran up on a R6

am i the only one that calls bs here? bikes are made for highspeed racing not drag racing. The OP has suspension and gearing for the 1/4, yea he should launch harder from a dig but once a bike is going those things move out and keep going. my dad was messing around with a buddy in his z06 and my friend on his 07 fz6 (small step down from r6) and they went from a 40 roll and my friend still pulled out about a car and a half or 2 cars. Yes you mustang might be faster in the quarter than a z06 but ill bet you that once you get past the quarter a z06 walks you. something just doesnt add up here...

15hp and 50 pounds lighter for an '07. Damn, the whole bike is different. I'd say that was a big difference in the years. And he said he's pushing for 10.9s on motor. I don't call that slow by any means. Is the z06 stock? Is it the 05+ year. Cause there's a diffence in those too.

Am I seeing that a stock C5 is supposed to beat a low 11's car? Really?
I forget who it was that said once these cars become cheaper this site would go downhill, but holy crap this is just stupid.

You beat a bike in a car? NO WAY! I call BS!
LOL at all the ignorance in here. Good kill. I can't wait to hand it to a few cocky bike owners when the TA's done. Wont be the quickest thing on the road but I should be able to at least take some 600's.....MAYBE hang with older 1000's.

Yes, there is absolutely no way you can win.... it's a bike.... nothing can ever beat a bike.
Don't believe all that crap, and have not seen a 600cc bike run in the 10s bone-stock, yet. Apparently it can happen and apparently they CAN trap in the mid-high 120s. I'll believe it when I see it, though. I crushed a few "pro" riders with a little over 400rwhp in a 3200lbs fox-body.

its a c6, where did i ever say it was a c5? and beyond that i was just having troubles with the fact that your car is geared for a 1/4 but you went from a roll, yes i understand that it wasnt high mph, and i guess the bike year makes a difference. I was just stating my experience with bikes that is all.

Any rider who knows their brake from their clutch and doesn't weigh 250lbs will run 10s on a modern 600 straight off the factory floor. Coincidentally, the latest July issue of Super Sportbike magazine has a whole article on how to run 9's on a 600 with bolt-ons. Just saw it on a rack in Target today .

Yea, 9's with bolt-ons are slow .
I've said it more then once here
