Default Packed my lunch and a 2 valve took it....

My car i s a 1998 z28 with full xhaust and yank ss3600, untuned.

His is an 03 gt auto with a 100 shot, underdrive pulleys, x-pipe and nitto 555r's

I get a call from a buddy saying this guy wants to race, so i stroll out to the meet up spot and we talk and decide thats enuff talking and go to mexico.

First race, he jumps a lil early but i dont seem to be pulling on him like i thought i would, so we line up again and get an even start, i stalled up to 1k and the arm drop........he's gone. he put a good 2 cars on me while im sitting there fighting traction, that lil 4.6 surprised the **** out of me. it was not a good race at all for me.

Next up is an 02 camd SS with full bolt-ons and bigs and littles vs. the same mustang,

The ss got him by a fender, i got that on video and will upload it tommorow.

Damn mustang didnt even have a stall, i talked to him after the race he said he was taking off on the spray, i was impressed by the lil 4.6 but smell a set of mickey thompsons, a 100 shot and revenge for me....

That is a surprising outcome. I wouldn't think an auto would of ran that strong.

I actually use to have more fun when I was spraying my stock motor. They still don't put up steller numbers which gives them less issues with traction.

On my stock motor I made 360/420 but once I built a motor and went with a direct port setup it made 540/650. On the street it was worthless the first couple of gears, lol.

Nice runs. People underestimate how strong of a kick in the *** that nitrous torque gives you, especially off the line (if you can hook up).

Good races! It's very difficult to pull around someone if they hook up and move out while you're spinning.

A good set of tires will probably make for a great race and a 100 shot on your car will spell certain doom for the GT.

I'm going to get tires and nitrous here pretty soon, its going to take nitrous to beat him, especially since he barely lost to the camd ss. It wasn't no catching him once I came out the spin, hopefully the mickeys or nittos will allow me to leave with him, and the 100 shot will allow me to beat him. I must say I am impressed with the gt, b4 this I had no respect for them.

Though nitrous isn't as popular with the 2v, plenty of guys run it. Here's a vid when I was making 540/650 on the gas....

What wheels do you have for your car? I just picked up a set of Mickey Thompson radials in a 295/45R17 and they look awesome and hook great!

I agree. I don't think I will ever own another manual. It got old swapping clutches and tob. Last yr I swapped to a PA 4R70W with a manual valve body, transbrake, and 3500 stall and love it.
