Saw a new 5.0 Mustang today I was lurking behind him, but never got the opportunity to play around. I'm sure he would have handed me my *** anyway. It's kind of a sick feeling knowing there will soon be tens of thousands of stock Mustang GT's running around that can easily spank a stock/mild bolt-on LS1 ***.......What is the world coming to?

Don't fret it too much: they are only a couple tenths faster than a LS1 Fbody with lid/filter/free mods. Driver mod for the tie! Feel free to go hunting them, just make sure you pick the race and speed and DO NOT give them the jump like you would a non 5.0 mustang. In other words, treat them like the '05+ Mustang GT has treated LS1 Camaro's.
