Raced a Gt500 Ive got a 2008 a6 vette with bolt ons and a tune. The guy had a whipple supercharger, cams, full exhaust, and runing 14psi. We raced from a 20 punch and I got the jump but until about 90 and then he passed me by beating me by 1.25 car lengths by 120. He went passed me pretty good at 90 but wasnt pulling to hard aftwards. What type of power are these gt500 putting down wtih those mods? It seems like he should have demolished me but the guy also sayed he demolished the tires through 2nd. I was on street tires and he was on radials. It was a good raced, guess its true what they say, anthing can happen on the streets!

"Anything can happen on the streets" ftw! Not too hard to believe since those GT500's are really crappy at putting the power down even stock. There was a 600+rwhp one at the track whose best time (on ET streets) was an 11.5 at 135?mph. His 3 other runs were all in the low 12's!
Come to think of it, that 600+rwhp one above had similiar mods to what you listed.

My friend's 08 made 608 rwhp with ported stock blower, upper and lower pulleys, aftermarket heat exchanger, and cold air kit through completely stock exhaust. I would think a whipple with cams should be over 700 rwhp.

yea with the mods he had I would believe he is definetly putting down north of 700rwhp without trouble... U gave him a hell of run from a roll John. U shoulda seen his face the night i ran him from a dig on motor and put a bus or two on him from the get go haha.

Js car makes somewhere just north of 400...

Thanks aaron, they were like dude what else do u have done to that car, I was like headers and tune.lol. I can only imagine how bad u beat him, your car hooks like a **** and runs damn good! Consistant also, thank god for automatics!

yea it definetly hooks better now than it did before the drag setup, but damn it still spins its *** off haha.... Yes they were like wtf when u were door to door with him man.
