Could I beat this 350Z... When me and all my buddies (and maybe Phantom and Aries if you guys are still down) head to E-Town this spring, my friend said he got one of his buddies to come...
He said the kid's got a vortech blown 350Z with spray, never ran it, but he said it's fast as hell. He said the kid thinks he's gonna "**** all over me"
... now I'm thinkin, if the car's really that sick, he probably will, but what do you guys think? I've never talked to the kid before, he seems pretty overconfident. Hopefully I can get a good tune and the intercooler done before we go, but I doubt I'll be able to... I don't know much about the car, but I rarely race on the street, what do you guys think? You think I should be careful around this joker??

dude, get your car tuned, and some tires. He would be in some mags with a set up like that. also i think that you and phantom, and ARIES if he went would show him some tail lights. i say dont worry about it and get his AIM screen name, and we will pick this stupid bitch apart

Vortech HIGHLY overrates the capibility of their 350z system, AND Nissan highly overrates the cability of the 350z. Check this dyno graph I yanked off of vortech's own site.
That doesn't exactly look like LS1 (or even LT1) roasting power to me. As for the nitrous, first of all how much could you possibly be spraying on a stock engine that's already equiped with a blower? We've all seen the video (havn't we?) of the stock 350z with a 300shot blow up 1/4 of the way down the strip.
When Is this planned trip to E-town? I've never been to jersey, but it's only 4 hours away. I'd love to meet up with you guys and get my *** handed to me.

That dyno would still suck even if it were 350 rwhp... you'd think supercharging a 290-bhp stock motor would at least get nere 400 witha blower...

It could definetly handle a blower and nitrous..specially a 25hp shot or something.
the nissan motors are stout...question is TUNING, is he running real boost?
in the little "street car challenge" (sport compact ricer) , a s/c 350z won. but it also ran SLOWER THAN STOCK.
for you tuning if not tuning and tires..do you have any idea what your car makes at the wheels?

it's a popular jetting for Ricers, and if he's boosted it would be stupid to actually do a big shot.

unless this guy's name is Brad Davis, he's full of ****.
Davis has the prototype car from Vortech with 8psi and a 100 shot.
The car went like 11.50's spinning on Nittos.
Interresting car to say the least, but this kid is probably blowing smoke up your ***.
BTW, I am still down to come to E-Town.
