GTR isnt unbeatable in stock form. try 117-120 mph trapps...A nice head and cam package would doi the trick

I'd say solid 119-122mph..H/C can do it, but OP is stock or so with his 02 SS.

No way...From my searching the record for 100% stock is 121 mph...

Stock tune plus bolt ons (down pipe/exhaust) is 124 mph

Most of the stock tune guys are actually around 117-119

People have trapped as high as 124mph bone stock, and 1/4 mile times of mid-low 11s. One guy on the forums ran a 10.9 at 127MPH with just a catback exhaust.

again I think they are fast..as in 117-120 mph fast bone stock..Dont get me wrong those are 2002 GTS viper speeds and also a lil faster than the LS3 vette speeds of 114-117 mph..

Its a ast car...But 127 mph is stock Z06 territory and a stock Z06 will jogg away from a stock GTR on a roll...


Even in my 476 rwhp Viper my friends 620 rwhp didnt exactly murder me from a roll...As well same testing gear at the same location has shown that he trapps 6 mph higher than me..Him at 128 and me at 122...(both ran 11.6's)

Thats me 30 rwhp over stock and him 200 rwhp over stock..take away 200 rwhp and I dont think he would do better than 117-118 mph...

Killemall: sorry bro, but what he did to you on a roll does constitute murder. Seemed like he was just playing with you on the second roll, first roll he walked you pretty hard. I'm surprised that you both ran the same 1/4 mile times though! You must have launched perfectly. Kudos to your driver mod!


Sidenote: I recognize the view of your camera as mounted on a mini sticky pod. I got one too, but my damned camera always comes unscrewed when I try and turn the camera from side to side. How do you keep that from happening?

Stock they are very capable cars but not unbeatable by any means. At 600+awhp though, that thing is a beast!

I think the use of the word murder is up to personal preferance. I wouldnt call that a murder but im sure the high boost version of that race was. I save words that inspire feelings of pain for things that look painful!

I ran into one on the highway the other day, I was too busy drooling over it to try to get him to run, he had carbon fiber everything. He got on it and it didn't move out that impressively, probably stock except appearance stuff. People seem to forget that these cars weigh ~4k with a driver and only make 480hp at the crank. Thats what, 400awhp? From a dig they are nasty as hell, and sure once you get to modding it, but gearing and awd can't stop the physics of it being a big car from a roll. (I'm talking stock here, yes we know they make 750+ with some turbo upgrade and other things.)

Really? I talked to a guy that had one at a car show a while back and he said he made 410 at the wheels? Whatever, they are cool cars for sure I wasn't trying to say they are crap, I just hear about them allllllll day long at work. You would think they are faster than any car on the planet the way people talk about them.
