So I had been talking to this guy I know that has a '94 Vette that has been what I consider heavily modded (shaved heads, big cam, z06 clutch, th guye works..). I finally talked him into taking me for a spin in his car. We did and returned to my place. As he was leaving I hopped into my 02 SS and followed him. Well we got on the highway and was cruising about 65. I shifted into third so I could maybe get a fender or so of the punch. Well, I was wrong. His 500+ hp Vette killed my 335 rwhp/350+ rwhp SS. I did keep up better than I thought I would, though!

I didn't really expect to win, especially since this was my first run aside from just showing out every so often. I hope to get a cam package and clutch soon, so maybe that will help me keep up with him!

Second gear would have been better indeed. I'll know next time! Hope to run a stock ls1 WS6 in the future! I'll be sure to post!

good death op. if its not a lsx powered c4, you can still make em fast. i built a 383 lt4 for my dads 1996 lt4 6-speed vette. with the old man driving it "takin it easy and granny shiftin" it went a 13.2x @ like 10x if i remember correctly.

He gutted a Z06 tranny to upgrade his. And no LSX for him. It's a heavily modded LS3.

WoW did you even read that before you posted it?! Hate to break it too you, but LS3's ARE a LSX. LSX as in LS1, LS2, LS3, LS6, LS7, etc. I was wondering how he could possibly get 500+hp out of a stock headed LT1. A cam'd, midly built LS3 will do it no problem though! Also explains the Z06 clutch as that will only work on a LSx crank. (or so I was told by my tuner)
