Default 99 SS vs 2004 Evo VIII

I was just leaving my girlfriends house and her neighbors across the street from her are real *********, their parents buy em everything and their all snotty about it. His brother has a 99 M3 and he used to have a 456 rwhp Supra but sold it to get his Evo 8. I saw him leaving this morning so I quickly jumped in my SS and got out through the gate a ways behind him. My girlfriend lives in a canyon type area so catching up to an awd car that's brand new was tough in itself. I do know he drives the hell out of it, cause on a short stretch (into a 90deg. turn) he did 135 in his supra.. I'll take a pic of the hill if I can, it's nuts. Anyhow, I finally catch up to him once he's at the bottom of the hill getting onto Santiago Canyon Road. I ride his *** for a while toying with him in 2nd makin' some noise and he's smiling cause he knows I wanna race him. I got my chance, the light ahead of us turned red and right there, it changes to two lanes. The light turns red and just before I hit the gas I remembered to turn off Trac. Control. We slam on the gas and he fuc*in pulls out of the hole SO hard... it's insane. Up to about 75 he had 3 cars on me then from 75-128 I pulled about 2 on him. I dont know if he was short shifting or what, but those cars supposedly run 12.86's stock.. though motor trend does use the best drivers possible. Anyhow, I beat him and he's sad. Dirty fuc*in rich kid. My 13,000 dollar SS beat your 39,000 dollar Evo. Die.

Get some MAC headers at least, if its an A4 get a nice torque converter, ported TB and an ASP pulley would help immensely

Nice kill. What's the altitude there? They are nasty out of the hole. Especially on the street where traction is limited.

The EVO's are pretty cool. At least the ones with the smaller GT wing but they do the quarter in about 14 seconds, maybe dipping into the high 13's. Now they do have and upgraded cam package you can get and a couple other goodies which get them down to 13 flat or a little lower. Quick cars but pretty rare. I believe only 5000 were sent to the states.

12.86 stock?! Maybe on a full moon, with the stars aligned with Uranus. I'm sure it's possible, but strictly not the norm.

Anyhow, great kill!

No, they are definetely mid-low 13's. 12's are a bit exagerated... maybe the STi was getting into 12's stock. There isn't any MPH though, so they aren't **** on the highway.

Just get the damn nitto's and be done with it!

I've yet to see an EVO or STi hit 13's at Moroso. They're fully capable of low 13's with a driver who is not afraid to dump the clutch at 6500 rpms!
