Vindicator Ls1 Camaro VS 03 Cobra ***Video Ok, here is some background info.... the camaro in this video and myself ran... Keep in mind my car is a 120 trap car and i can usually edge out a bolt on/pullied cobra. go to 2:00.. my car is the camera car http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ALX2bD2Mv_U The vindicator cam Z28 then runs this cobra tonight.. Cobra CLAIMS to have only JLT intake, H pipe and catback... last week, the cobra ran a 112 trap GTO with full exhaust and pulled a car or so.... now tonight this happens... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_tGBfCP2axI My Ricer math doesnt seem to add up :secret2::secret2::secret2::secret2:.. word on the street is a little sneaky spray.... thoughts? |

your car traps 120? been to the track? to me that looks about right for a bolt on cobra against a cam only ls1....... |
When I was bolt on with full exhaust (350rwhp). I beat my buddies 03 cobra by half a car. He had cold air intake and bassani cat back exhaust... he dynoed 400rwhp...fyi. I say he has something else done to the car from the looks of your first run. |

So do all 03-04 cobra's come stock with a supercharger? Are there any cobra's before 2005 that aren't supercharged? and I'm guessing that's the only worthy opponent against a fbody right, anything before 03' and after 04' is just no match mod for mod? |
Its not pullied...charger is way to quite. If he is sprayin its a 50 shot or less. |
Spray before a pulley? come on guys. Why would anyone throw nitrous on a car to make the power you could have by swapping out a stock pulley. I guess there are idiots out there but im not buying it. |

Yes all 03-04 cobras are supercharged. 05 and up cobras are now called GT500's and they never made any without the supercharger. The 05 and up GT's with bolt ons will hang with a mild LS1 car, but an LS1 is no match for a GT500 stock for stock. The new 5.0 mustangs should be a pretty good match for LS1's too and technically should take one stock. Anything older than the 05 model mustang is a turd compared to an LS1 car though. I have had my share of LS1s.... |
One of my friends had a 2004 Corba and he dynoed 408rwhp with only a C.A.I and Cat-back exhaust (does that sound right). he only beat me by about 2 cars when my GTO was stock. |

To be honest it's rare that you'll run across a cobra with stock pulleys. If it did happen to be at stock boost it would probably trap around 115ish.. My car has a 2.8" upper with a 2lb lower, making 16ish psi, it traps right at 120.. Good runs btw |
