I agree, I need a new intake manifold and some gears BAD !!
My car does 80mph in second and 112mph in 3rd. I believe he told me that his 4th gear topped out at 115mph.

Don't believe the hype: he will gain maybe 25rwhp from those mods. Figure that will make a 1/2 car difference against you in the same type of run. The same as if you put on a LS6 intake.
Just dont race him from a dig unless you got some good tires and experience at dig racing! Those things hook really well.

Well these may be really high reading dyno's but here's a normal dude's 5.0 with some bolt-on's:
"Steeda cold air kit, tune, lethal performance x-pipe, and magnaflow street catback. It made: 425.99 hp - 398.23 tq"
Here's another dude:
"The car[grey '11 5.0] also has ARH LTs (awsome headers and company guys), K&N drop in, 4.30s and a tune. it twisted out 411rwhp and 390rwtq."
Another owner:
"so with everything on [steeda cai, magnaflow axleback] and no tune it made 399 hp.... stock it made 385.... so once tuned it made 415 with 394 tq... very good numbers for the air quality here in kc and it was 92* today.."
So that's three normal guys, not shop cars, that are all making over 400rwhp with a few bolt-on's.
Here's a shop car:
"The car, a 6-speed manual, was baselined with a stock tune before the install with roughly 5,000 miles and made 390 RWHP / 384 RWTQ. The only modification was OEM Shelby GT500 mufflers.
With our previous dyno tune loaded, it made 418 RWHP / 400 RWTQ.
After installing the Steeda CAI and re-tuning, it made 430 RWHP / 410 RWTQ. A gain of 12 RWHP / 10 RWTQ.
Dyno Sheet"
Those numbers are probably a little inflated but shows that the 5.0 has a good deal of potential.

After reading this thread I was curious and looked over a couple of 2011 sections on the stang boards. With headers and bolt ons people were making 415-430. Some of you guys may want to cry about it but think of how us outdated stang owners feel, lol.

Ya the 5.0's are def no joke especially when theyre low optioned with 3.73's like ur friends appears to be only weighing 3580... You still have the ls1 i take it drop an ls6 in there and I bet youll see another 20whp. And you said your ta prolly weighs more than the 3580? If thats the case take watever extra stuff u hav in it out and run that race again I bet youll edge him out better haha.
