Default two 650 HP GTR's vs my 550 HP Viper

Alright.....

my buddy with a white SP engineering GTR called me up and asked if I was down to run him and another silver GTR .....

UMMMM...hell yea!

The specs...

new white GTR
fully builts turbos tuneing ect by SP engineering 600 awhp pump gas and 800 on race gas (aprox 3800 pounds ) vehicle had a 170 pound driver and 150 pound passenger (pump gas on these runs)

new silver GTR
maxed out stock tubos and all the minor bolt ons plus extensive tuneing 600 awhp (aprox 3800 pounds) vehicle had a 170 driver and 175 pound passenger

03 yellow viper
most of the bolt ons minus headers/throttle body/intake manifold 490 rwhp (aprox 3300 pounds) 210 pound driver and NO passenger

race 1= we start at 70 mph with me in second gear..beep Beep BEEP....Dead nuts from 70-130 mph against the silver GTR

race 2= we start at 50 mph with me in second gear...beep beep BEEP...white GTR pulls me by 2 cars from 50-130 mph (50 in second is a bad lull for me)

race 3=we start at 65 mph with me in second gear...beep beep BEEP...dead nutz with the silver GTR again

race 4= again with the silver GTR...3 beep it and this time I put on a car length that the silver GTR can never make up

race5= this time with the white GTR....3 beep it and we are dead nutz and I end up a 1/2 car ahead at shut down....

NEEDLESS TO SAY THE SNAKE IMPRESSED ME TODAY...100 RWHP DOWN BUT THE WEIGHT AND TORQUE ADVANTAGE REALLY SHINED THROUGH

IVE GOT VIDEOS ON MY PHONE BUT IM HAVEING A VERY HARD TIME

I doubt driving skill really plays a factor into a GT-R.

This. It paddle shifters so killemall couldn't be better than that. As long as he nails his shifts, he's in good shape but won't beat a dual clutch tranny.

Killemall, how do you have "most of the bolt ons" if you don't have headers, intake manifold and throttle body? Those ARE most of the bolt ons . What do you have? CAI and exhaust I'm guessing. That's not most

titanium exhaust
no cats
kn filters
light weight fly wheel
light weight under drive pulley
sct tune
roller rockers

here is the vid..It is very very crappy as I had no choice but to use my web cam to record my phone videos...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dM27oR75YnE

Their is also a nice HI DEF vid with only one of my races...Of course the GTR guys posted the vid were I started in second gear at 50 mph and lost by two cars...

But you can see in my vid that their was a differant story...LOL

here is the vid from the GTR side of the house...

Now wouldnt you know that I beat the white GTR by a nose one race and beat the silver GTR by a car length one race and tied the silver GTR on a race and lost by a car to the silver GTR on a race....

But whats the only video they posted..the one were i started in second gear at 50 mph and lulled like crazy and got of it when he had two cars on me...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLa-l6qX3bE

IT IS SO IMPORTANT TO GET YOUR OWN VIDS....No one would belieave I hung with let alone beat two 600 plus awhp GTR's....especially if they could only see the vid that they posted.....thank God I got my own vid...LOL

But i dont think they did it intentionally...This was more about the top dog GTR to them and I was just the bonus match...LOL

1000 feet elevation in 75 degree weather with my own personal
timing gear Ive done a best of 11.6 at 123 on the stock tires....

60 foot=1.9
0-60 in 3.6
1/8 mile=7.6 at 95 mph
1/4 mile=11.67 at 123 mph

For referance the white GTR in the vids above went 11.68 at 128 mph at the same location with my timing gear and my buddies cammed C6Z06 with 500 rwhp went 11.9 at 124 mph

Was that on a sticky tire? just asking because I see a lot of sub par times across the net in stock or bolt on cars. A lot of guys stuck in the 12's which leaves me scratching my head. I went 11.8 @ 123 in my old 03 roadster stock down to the filters fwiw.

476 SAE
491 standard
550 crank HP

I was on the stock tires...THe SRT10's ARE very HARD to drag race...My 99 rt10 was much much much easier..the SRT10 is faster stock for stock by 2 tenths and 2-3 mph but took A LOT of practice...

My first time out with intake/roller rockers I was running 12.6 at 115 at the same 1000 foot location...

About 20 passes later and lots of internet studying for tips and I ran a 11.8 at 122 with those same mods.....

Gotta give those GTR's credit...605 awhp with just bolt ons and injectors still on the stock turbos with lots of tuneing.....If he didnt have the passenger he would have probally beat me every time..

Also the white one is just playing aound...that 680 awhp number he said he was rolling in these races turns into 800 awhp real quick when he wants too with C16

im getting a KN filter intake instead of just the filters I have and a BBK throttle body this weak. hopeing that will get me 490 rwhp SAE....Then shooting for 510 rwhp with headers/ported manifold..

I really just wanna be bolt ons as much as possible because the look on peoples faces is priceless when I beat or run even with their highly modded fully built car or FI car and they ask what I have and I just say..."some bolt ons"

I normally do...But Id bet my nut sack that the GTR guys numbers are standard so I kept it equal.....usually opnly the domestic guys care about SAE and most import guys dont even know what that is...They just care about the biggest number possible...

I thought it was funny because I was their with them and it almost seemed like my cars sub 500 rwhp number wasnt even a threat to them..

After the white and silver GTR raced a few times the white GTR owner said..man I dont think you should race him Killemall....

I was doing the math in my head and thought...3500 pounds (with driver) and around 500 rwhp vs 4100 pounds with driver and passenger and around 600 awhp...

This is gonna be close..

The thing is I have raced the white one many times and got beat by 2 cars every time because we were starting at 50 mph with me in second gear..

My car does 62 mph in first gear and 50 mph in second is a DEAD SPOT...So I asked for 70 mph rolls and they happily accepted my challange...

I wish i could do 50 mph in first gear but the car is uncontrollable in first gear at 50 mph and a danger to myself and any other cars around me...So second gear at 70 mph was safe and got me close to a good spot in my rpm range for a good start point

The K&N looks good at under $300 but I doubt if it will make much over the stock system.

My first mods on my 03 was Kooks lt headers/catted y & dyno tune and that made a BIG difference. Ofcourse not cheap as I think I spent a little over 3k for everything, but it was noticeably faster than before. I was able to stay dead even with a friends stock C6 Z as a result.
