Default 1984 MCSS vs. 06 LS2 modded GTO

My MCSS vs. M6 LS2 GTO..Boltons, Gears, possibly a shot.
Pulled like a car that was sprayin, if not then I dont know why you need a AFR Gauge on the dash other then to look at the pretty numbers..

Ah, the shady old, "maybe it has nitrous and maybe it doesn't" trick

That's a cool project you got there. Any idea what your car weighs?

Maybe the MC is just a turd.

Good run! Wonder what he was hiding.

I think I know the GTO. I raced one just like it. It has a cold air, headers back and a tune. I beat the car pretty easy(he needed driver mod). If it's the one I am thinking of. The afr was there to make sure it dont lean out with the tune. That's what he told me. I think he has a 100 shot though.

When we raced it was throwing flames out he exhaust. A guy on a bike said, that after the race.

Wow Merv, long time no see. I didn't know you ended up getting a MCSS. Thought you were looking at CTS-V's. When I first clicked this I thought "84 MCSS turd is about to get WALKED by LS2 GTO", then of course I saw your name and thought, Uhh ohh, Merv's old motor is in that puppy!

Atta baby! Good kill!

So let's here some opinions here..

The GTO guy is claiming he is bolt-ons, ported TB, and tune only.. That's what he's sayin.

I see a AFR Gauge, I know he has a laptop on it, and it's got an aftermarket Diff Cover from what a friend of mine saw..

I think he's got more than what he's claiming..my SS isn't exactly a low 12s 1/4 car..

"my SS isn't exactly a low 12s 1/4 car..."

It's not even that if you don't have a time slip to back it up. Seriously, if you don't know what your car runs, how can you infer that your car is solidly in the 11's?

My buddy had a late 80's monte SS, his car weighed over 3600lbs when we weighed it. His had T tops and every option though- and a massive amount of smog crap.

My guess is that it's Juice's brother. j/k

Maybe your car isnt as fast as you think? Why worry about it so much, hes faster then you thought oh well live and learn. Even if he had 150 shot does that take away from the way it went down. I think your trying to find a reason to discredit his car.

I'm not trying to discredit the car, I'm trying to figure out the mods, I think there is more than is being said.

If only I had a dollar for every time I whooped someone who thought their car was supa fast. The misconception about what's done to another car starts with how fast your car ACTUALLY is.

What does your car make for power?

Unless the guy had one laying around or has future mod plans for it? Who knows....

As far as the race, regardless of who has what a win is a win so good kill there. A 3,300 pound 408 stroker, M6 with 3.89 gears is no easy kill for a mild bolton/tune GTO. Hes got 200 more pounds even if he gutted, you have to imagine less power and definitely less torque, and even if 4.10s no real game changing gear advantage over you. Hes not here (yet?) to defend his position but going off what your saying your car has and what he's told you I'd put my chips in the "more than a bolt on car" corner on this one.
