I noticed that the truck weighes around 5200 pounds.. I also noticed that for around $290 I can upgrade the Hp over 400hp.. Will that keep up with my 2002 Z28 ? thanks

Theres a guy here in houston that owns one of those Ford powerstrokes and that truck is one bad mother@#$!@. It has upgraded turbo and chip with a 4x4. You should see that monster launch in the street. I seen that truck kill stock z28 by 3 car lengths off the line. The only problem with the truck is that it runs out of gear by the 1/8 mile so expect the z28 to go by around 90mph. He also dynoed in at 833 rwtq.

I swear that truck sounds like a Jet when he spools that turbo up. Just like he said it launches really hard and runs out of steam by the 1/8 mile. Its an awesome truck though.

Well i work for a GM dealership, if u get a Duramax get a 5spd, the truck from what I have learned with the Allison tranny does not do well with upgrades, GM will not warranty any Duramax with upgrades such as a chip and things of that nature, we have had alot of pissed off folks cause they did the chip and there tranny jacks up, if U get one get a 5spd, I think the Allison runs on a seperate computer but im not sure, I just have read the service bulletins.

IF you do get one you can upgrade all of the engine stuff. You can also upgrade the Allison tranny. You can either take it to Bully Dog or send it to them. They will upgrade the converter b/c they have problems with them breaking the bolts that hold the converter to the flywheel. But the Duramax's will haul ***. My dad has one and it is a beast.
