Finally Raced my boss and shut him up... My boss is one of the biggest Stang fanatics you'll meet. I've been itchin to kick his a$$ ever since I had my 94 Firebird, but it didn't stand a chance against his 5.0.
His Car:
90-91 5.0
5 Speed
CAM (I believe it's the F1 for the Rustangs)
Edelbrock upper and lower intake
3.55 Gears
some times sprays anywhere from 100-150 shot of nitrous..
Full Exhaust
Big Aluminum Radiator
Me:
2000 Z28
Mods in Sig
Well today he finally has his car out of the shop after a fender bender.. and I have my Z there that I've had for a month and a half.. As usual he's talkin smack.. so I decide to call him out.. Right there at work in front of everyone.
So we both hop in our cars.. right there in the middle of work, and head out to the interstate..
First run:
30 mph roll.. I walk him the entire time..
Second run:
45 mph roll.. same thing
He starts complaining that my stock gears are best for high speed rolls..
So we start from around 15.. he gets a quick jump, and I start to wind him in again.
So I'm done kickin his butt. On the way back he wants some more.. this last time almost a dead stop.. It was like I got a hole shot on him or something because I didn't even see him next to me anymore.. (Excuse) I have too much torque.. Couldn't get any traction.
I tell the co-workers what happened and they all clown him.. because all he ever does is bash Camaros and Trans Ams.. It was nice handing him his a$$.
Sorry this was so long... but I felt a big relief after shutting him up.
Now he won't race me without the bottle
Z owned 5.0 this day

Niceeeee. I love the excuses people make up when they lose. "too much torque" ... that's a new one. You should bring in a dyno graph showing him how much more torque you have then he does ... then explain "****, I don't have a hard time controlling all this torque ... well that just shows that driver skill does have a lot to do with racing" or something along those lines.

Also.. we're really good friends. I just finally decided to put the smackdown on him. He was rather quiet after we were done yesterday.
