93 mustang vs 00 camaro with a 6.0
my friend and i agreed to race, if i loose i would have to wash his car and wear a shirt that says i shoulda bought a chevy, if he looses he has to wear a shirt that says i shoulda bought a ford and wash my car. we agreed the race must be clean, if we break or redlight or miss a gear we was gonna have a rerace. i also gave him lane choice and he chose right lane. i said good i want left.
he trailers his camaro in, i drive my mustang in and hot lap it til we race. i make one last pass before we race and i was gonna let it cool off, he says we gotta race now cause they shutting the track down "and they wasnt" so i head up to the stagging lanes. were both na and on slicks. we do a burnout at the same time and i stage first. he stages, brought my rpm up, and as soon as we take off i hear a very loud pop come from rear, it was still pulling so i stayed in it
i got him good off the line, he slowly starts to catch me. by the time we hit the finish line i was a half car ahead maybe a little more, didnt pay that much attention cause i was worried about my rear locking up. end result is me running 7.7 and him running 7.9. he pulled the bs clause saying since i broke that the race dont count, but i made it to the finish line. what do u guys think?

i bet i would have went faster if i didnt break it. i think the 5/16 bolt that holds the pin in the carrier broke. so the pin is sliding in and out hitting the pinion gear. i have yet to pull it apart cause all this rain were gettin here. should have it apart monday to see what happened. he said hes gonna wash my car this weekend so we'll see if he actually does lol

I think it's a funny story. Plus, he should wash your car, etc. as you agreed. Clearly(if you didn't make this story up), he lost. Breaking constitutes not crossing the finish line under your own engine power, not some snap in the rear or whatever. Finally, I think you should stay in school or get off the ludes, whichever is appropriate... SHEESH!
