Default ran into a gsxF600

Just took out my 02 z06 for a pleasure cruize today. So im sitting in a stop light and i see a bike splitting lanes to get to the red light. Light turns green and i took off easy not expecting anything, but then decide to catch up, since he took off quite quickly... Im at 45 mph in 2nd gear and waiting for him to hit, since he was in a low gear as well with his engine screaming already, i turned tcs off just in case... After a while of cruizing like that, i realized that he didnt want to bite and i upshifted in 3rd...

As soon as i upshifted, i see the sucker roll the throttle, so at this point i downshift back into 2nd at 55 mph. As soon as i did that, my low quality firehawk tires started screaming for mercy, as soon as i hooked i reeled him with no problem, and by 80 he was in the back...

i used to ride before and i can recognize bikes, In this case he had an 05-06 blue and white katana 600. I wasnt surprized by the outcome since i know those are gutless, unlike a newer 600SS bikes

02 z06 only has an intake and hypertech tune, put down 360rwhp 357rwtq when was bone stock... I need some tires for sure

It is an 05-06 Katana. They run low 12s with a good rider, who knows.

Z06's are not slow by any means, less so from a roll with a couple of bolt ons. I can see this being true in the right circumstances.

I know a katana isn't as slow as a 250 but for a sport bike, they are pretty sluggish.
The rider wasn't the best at shifting and by 80 or so, he was in my rear quarter, I didn't see him next to me, but heard his engine... I didn't put busses on him by any means

Don't worry, I believe you. Just trying to put some reasoning out there to the poster above.

completely believable. I have a 05 fz6 and my friend rode it (he can ride) and I drove my camaro one day after work. I told him for a long time that I thought the car was faster. Sure enough, we went from a dig, he got out on me cause I spun, once I got it moving I walked on around him. My bike went 11.8 @ 118-119 so it was'nt a suprise for me.
