07 corvette z51 vs 91 foxbody *vid*
Well my buddy in the foxbody just put a new used motor in his car along with cam,gt 40 heads, and a new wet kit(was a dry kit). Well needless to say he has been talking alot of crap saying how he is going to put it on me, going to yank me outta the hole, and me not going to be able to catch him. Well his full mods are exhaust, auto trans, 3000 stall, gt 40 heads, cam, 150 shot, and 3.73 gears. I won by about 2 1/2 car's at the end of the run which was a little bit short of the 1/4. Watch in 720p hehe

Well afterwards my friend in his 2003 gt wanted to race. He is full bolton's DR's 3.73's and 125 shot ran. He got me by a good 2 1/2 because I spun bad and he got the hit( I was sleeping). He had me by a car before we even passed the flagger haha. I was slowly pulling him in but didn't have enough room. I have ran him before and beat him by 2 lenghts. His car went 11.84 the other weekend also and can go 11.70s. So you have to be on your A game when you run him on the street haha.

that's the slowest fox body on earth then. all i had in mine (5spd, '92 drivetrain) were 4.10's, B303, stock H/C ported intake and on DR's went 12.55. If i were to add a 150 shot it would've been a low 11 second ride.. that is extremely lame.

You CRUSHED that guy! I'm not even thinking he'd have won with better tires.
That FOX is set up poorly from the looks. For starters, 80's designed Ford 5L heads aren't exactly the greatest choice on a 302 based engine. His 1st mistake was using less than worthy heads. From the looks(and maybe it's partly due to tires), that stall isn't even close to 3000 in his car. 2nd mistake... Should've just used a valve body and left the stall alone. 3rd mistake... Thinking he could outrun a late model vette while not really knowing how to race.
In his case, I'm not even sure what he's doing... I knew guys back in the 80's running mid 12's with very few engine mods in their FOX body. Even stock ported heads w/o a power adder. By the 90's, 11's for some with more work done. That car, regardless of the WHIPPIN' you handed it, would be lucky(from what we could see) to have run low-mid 12's... Considering the use of N2O... Took off like a truck!
Way to slaughter a wannabe.
Oh, but hey... That's a SHARP looking FOX! If that color had been available on the 91, I'd have bought one.
