O I'm sorry did I bust your ego? ok let me give you guys the history first..at my college(small) there is a kid with a prelude who thinks he is king. just think of the cockiest person you have ever met and you have this kid..one of my friends told me one day the kid tried to race him on a spare tire!! anyway i havent liked this kid since the first time i met him. he lies out his *** and is so full of **** he could be used to fertilize lawns. one time he rode in my car and the whole time he was sayin how when he got his car back from the shop(he blew the engine up) he would "put my car in the dust" i laughed and told him to shutup. he's such an idiot that when he asked me what i mods i had and i said headers and a whisper lid, his response was(no lie) " YOU HAVE A LID? AWESOME" anyway i was comin home from 
hooters last night and i saw him driving and i the bird was hungry. i pulled up next to him and gave a rev to see if he would bite. sure enough he did and at first i just kept my foot enough on the gas to make him think he could keep with me, then i floored it and it was so awful that i though he hit a brick wall. but the best part about it was when i saw him he was like "yea mayne when i hit it i knew it was ova mayne. i missed a gear." 
OOO THE **** YOU DID. it felt so good to destroy this kid(even though i bet he goes and says he beat me or some BS) im going to suggest we race again in a safe place just so i can embarress him in front of everyone b/c he tells everyone around here that his car is the **** and there are only a handfull of ppl who actually know how cars actually work, and also cause i want it on camera. this is my best kill ever only because it was this guy and he KNOWS,even if he wont admit it, that the **** he drives will always be second to the bird and any other ls1.

ROTFL ... nice kill.
I had a kid like that in my HS, unfortunately he drove a 96Z, and I had a 97TA. Mine was definately faster than his, and I had beat him on numerous occasions ... however, after everytime we raced, he told everyone he won, everytime.
No matter what you do, people like that will always lie, and always have an excuse lined up. Your best bet is to do it on camera, with a bunch of people around, for money. (do best 2 outta 3 or something, so the excuses can be tossed). Make sure you get him on camera before the race telling everyone how his car is running great, etc ... and there are no problems. That will nullify the "my car is broken" excuse.

Ht them in the wallet. At a track. With time slips. For side bets. Make sure the camera is rolling.
