:( lost again to a 5th gen SS
I was driving in mexico when I saw a 5th gen black SS behind me I was like yes hopefully I will get a good run in...well i hit a light a made a right on a nice long road in mexico, I made sure to go slow about 25mph or so he pulled to the lane next to me, and he got the hit, he put about 1 1/2 cars on me pretty fast and we went to about 90mph & he was ahead by 2 cars, maybe less. We did a few more pulls and the result was always 1 1/2 to 2 cars .. We talked at a red light he said he was a stock m6, he was a cool guy....i wanted a dig run but didnt get it ... Anyways I think he is a member here so I hope to hear from him .... mayb we can arrange and film some runs in mexico......please give your input guys....thanks....
O ya I had a passanger ....lol

Honestly, I really dont get why 5th gen always lose to near stock 4th gen in this section. By the book, they should win almost everytime. The only explanation I found is that most of plp who buy a 10' SS, its either the auto(slow as **** stock) or just cant shift the hell outta a M6 car.
Why a 105-109mph car would win so often against a 108-111mph car??? I agree most of 4th gen have at least exhaust or lid, so it'll be a drivers race..but stock for stock, I dont get it.

i don't think so. worst part of the 5th gens are the launch. from a roll an LS3 should mop the floor with most minor bolt on 4th gens. pretty sure i watched an m6 5th gen just about hang with an LS2 C6 on here a while back. how many "mild bolt on" 4th gens will do that?

You should have beat him if he was stock, I've raced them from both a dig and a roll and never had a problem pulling multiple cars, but then again I do have a cam, but you have 3.73 gears.... he def has work done IMO

OP, I'm thinking it was a combo of you being an auto and having some extra weight. I mean with your mods it seems like you should be pulling a little.
I've been itching to run one of these as well, but the only one I saw on the street didn't want to play!
