Stock WS6 vs Brand new 5.0
My best friend picked up a 2011 Stang GT with 3.73's a little while back and we've always talked about racing, but never had the chance to find enough space. He had a passenger for the two quick pulls.
But, a little bit of details. His car is showroom stock, but mine on the other hand at one point was modified pretty heavily and tuned for that setup... Then it was reverted back to stock to be sold, but was never re-tuned.
But we were cruising down a pretty good stretch of highway cruising at about 55mph in 4th gear, he beeps and we go. I jump about a solid car ahead, and by the time we make it up to about 135-140mph he's got me by about two lengths.
We go one last time, but this time in third gear at about 55mph (hoping the difference in weight would help!! lol...). He beeps and off we go! I hung around his door for most of the pull, but started to fall back so I never bothered to go into 4th as there was no chance for me to pull.
So in conclusion... I got my *** kicked pretty hard!!
But at least I have made a to do list from my experience:
Have my Long tubes installed when they arrive, and get a CSP tune!!

My Z28 used to hang neck and neck with them, it'd always end up a win or a lose by no more than a nose. I just cant wait to get tuned up with LT's now that I have the better heads, ls6 intake, and flow-pack! lol

My best pass in this car was a measly 10.92 at a 128 trap. Car is at Force Fed Performance as we speak getting a new cam install (236/250 CamMotion N20 grind) and tune. Added a 102/102 since the 10.92 run as well. I will be going to the track friday and spraying this time too. 9's pretty please!
