So I was bored earlier and driving around with a buddy, actually looking for someone to run. After cruising for a while we found a local guy with a 1997 Z28. It was nothing crazy, we just did one quick pull in second gear for fun.

His car is an M6, pretty sure he has a CAI and some type of exhaust. My car is an M6 as well, Lid and Cat-back only right now. I had one passenger, and he was alone.

Yes, I knew I was going to win. I'm not trying to act like a big tough guy picking on LT1's, but it happened so I thought I would post it up. Sorry for the poor camera skills in the vid lol. I pulled out pretty good, and after the camera turned around I was still pulling and let out around 100mph. I wasn't paying enough attention to see how many cars it was. I'm sure I'll see him around again and we'll get some clean runs, maybe a few digs too. He has an R1 as well, I don't want to run into him on that haha.

Lol hey I just wanted to have some fun, and the opportunity presented itself.

It's all in good fun I always see the other guy driving around and I've been waiting to run him. He's cool, and we smiled and went our ways after.

I really hope it doesn't go there though. I hope people realize that this was purely for some fun! But I completely agree with that progression. All of those are the most annoying and ridiculous arguments, and people just need to grow up about it. Everything isn't always about who's faster, better, or winning. Lol.

I love my car...but I can't stop envying LS1s.

With my shitty luck all LS1 Trans Ams are expensive as **** all the sudden so I don't have a good reason to switch either.

Stick it out. You'll have to deal with all the slow LT1 jokes and people not taking your car seriously, but when you mod it up and then drag them around, the look on their face will be priceless
