Default OJ vs LS3 Vette

GMPP Cam, z06 exhaust. Friend of mine, he just bought it with those mods already. 20 roll per his request. It doesn't have ported rawkers, triple disc clutch, gears, ewp, tape, small battery, so its definitely not proper.

Good run, looks like you walked away from him pretty easily.

Good run. I'm surprised you pulled that hard. Was he spinning or something?

It apparently has Z06 manifolds. He has headers, just waiting on getting the new cam to put them in. I have a very average bolt on car with stock lift intake only cams.

Whats his new cam going to be? should be interesting after a different cam and some headers.

Why increase only the duration and not lift? is there a strategy behind that?

what does average bolt on car mean? don't you have most of them? as in cai, manifold, headers, e85 etc?

Not sure on the cam, I don't think he has decided yet. To keep stock springs I suppose, they work, car picked up good power with them.

I’m shocked that you pulled him that bad and did you go with the L&m intake cams on your car ?

Here are some more from the night. Civic is a 9th gen, 5858? turbo, around 400whp. WRX is built with a 6466, ran 10.0 or 10.2 on more boost, was on 30psi for those runs.

You should be able to get into the tens with a few more well placed mods. Runs good

Good kill! Even a mild LS3 vette is no slouch.

Was he spinning? Do ya know what tires he has?

Not sure on the tires, but it was about 85* and that stretch of road has really good pavement. I doubt traction was an issue, he wasn't complaining about it.

Thanks. That's sort of the goal. Got some skinnies coming, 2 piece front rotors as well.

Good kill!

20 is a bad spot for LS3 vette....actually any speed a vette loses to a stang is a bad spot.
