11 SS vet vs 02 GT 2V
Ok so on the way back from my dads sunday. A SS vet goes flying by me. The lady in the car turned(top was down) all the way around and starts waving me up to them. I bite. I get next to them and the drive starts counting with his fingers. We are at about 70. I put it 3rd and we take off. I pull about a car though 3rd and 4th and here they come when I go into 5th.(5th is a **** gear) but I stay in it they pulled maybe 3 cars to 150(could still read the plate). I got another race with them at 50 it was not so good for them I pulled about 2 cars and stayed there until about 120 and they started to come back. By 150 they were about a car, car and a half in front. Did not think anything of it stop to get gas and they were to we talked and he said it was cat back and cold air only, auto. I told him the top down was what made it the race it was and he had about 300lbs of stuff in his trunk and back seat. He was really a nice guy. It was not what I thought it would be the wife said the samething. How much do they weight? I am 3600 with me and the wife give or take a few pounds. I dynoed 268whp and 251wtq. I was thinking it was about 4400 or so with them and the stuff in it.(Plus the top being down)

The wife tried but the video did not save to the phone. And if it was a v6 I would have not tried to race it(I know I am faster then them). I am only going to race something that will beat me or be a close race. I am one of the few on here that don't care if I win. Its just the high I get from racing.

at those hp numbers, your just above 300 hp at the crank correct?
a v6 camaro is just above 300 hp at the crank.
curb weight around 4110 for camaro
mustang gt around 3450
so the for the 600 lb difference, thats about 6/10ths correct in the 1/4 correct?
with his cold air and catback, he may be up 20 hp? so 4/10th difference now.
thats probably about the difference you seen down low. why they passed on the top end, i dunno. if it was a v-8 car, they should have pulled on you no matter what, not just the top end.

Bigger injectors(24), 3.73, cold air, weight reduction, sct tunner(was on economy tune), clutch and short throw. Ran a 11.2 at the local track on street tires with a 2.1 60foot. And baby shifting 4th gear. Bama tunes FTW.

268 and 251 ways the dyno numbers for the street tune they sent me. I have not put the car on the dyno with the race tune yet. I am thinking closer to 280 to 285 to the wheels on that.

Let me get this right. You are running a 11.2 in the 1/4 with an 02 gt that makes 268rwhp, on street tires with a 2.1 60 ft? Please tell me that was a typo on your part and you were trying to say 14.2...

I have a Mustang GT with 268whp. the nly race I can run with a new SS is of the line. I work at a Chevy dealership and drive new SS's all the time. You cannot run with one especially up top. Fake story. and another thing. 251tq? Mine makes 310tq. How do you have less tq than HP?
