Default 2011 charger r/t vs. 1988 Trans am

So I was on my daily commute (1 hour drive) and was on the 2 lane highway doing about 70ish. i was passing people and eventually got up to a new 2011 charger r/t (it was dark grey and I have to say they look much nicer than the older ones) but anyway, I passed him about 70ish and just kept on my route, i got about 10 cars ahead of the charger and noticed it pulling on me hard (ricer flyby) so i dropped down into 4th gear and stopped his pull and kept him from passing me. He stayed behind me a few cars back until traffic cleared up, he jumped into the other lane and lined up with me, i gave him the hit (70) and again dropped into 4th, I started pulling on him right away, i took it up to about 110, by this time i had alot (hard to tell after so many) cars on him, i tapped my brakes to let him know he wasnt pulling on me lol. i got over to take my exit, and he gave me a big thumbs up, i returned the favor.

im sure he was bone stock, my car has an ls1/t56/9" and some bolt ons.
sorry, no video, i still havent figured out how to film, steer and shift yet lol.

i ran it a couple of years ago when it was pretty much a stock ls1 and ran a 13.2 @112, now ive got a 9" with 4.11's, drag radials, bolt ons (lt's, exhaust, CAI, ls6 intake, UD pulley etc) and a baby cam LPE gt2-3. probably low 12's now.

I want a new 392 srt8 to play with. I know there is 1 around us now. When i get back in a month I will call him out. Plus a few 5th gens. There is only 1 5th gen that i am pretty sure will take me. He said he has 30k in it. Maggie 2300/heads/cam/LT's- made 660whp. I know on a roll he will defiantly win. At that track he will need to drive the hell out of it. I also know he never races it. It is a dyno queen.

He talked **** one night a buddie with a 03 termie called him out. He tried saying out you can win. Buddie said well i know my car runs mid 10s and makes 640whp. What you run. Guy shut up and left the car meet early.,

Yeah. My car race weight is 4030. The new 11' RT's have the same motor as the 09+ RT's. The new 392 in the challenger is powerful. Watched a bone stock auto full weight with DR's go 12.4's at 113 a few weeks ago in about 900 DA. With a cmr tune it'll go 11's.
