Default SRT8 vs GT500, 5.0 and 2011 R/T (Videos)

Some Videos From Irwindale Speedway Lastnight from inside my SRT8.

Charger SRT8: Intake, Exhaust, Tune vs GT500 Vert: Stock
The owner of the GT500 wasn't to surprised with the outcome he told me after the run he knew it would be close but I would win with my mods.

Charger SRT8 vs 2011 5.0 Vert
ok before watching the video let me explain something here. I spun like crazy but I cant complain because im racing on 22's , sometimes it hooks other times it wont. Im launching from idol. The owner of the 5.0 told me it was bone stock, however that was not true his buddy who was also there in a 5.0 told me it had the Boss 302 Intake manifold (which I saw but didnt know if it was factory or not) CAI, SCT tune and exhaust. It was also lowered and had drag radials. The race ended with my front bumper at his rear tire. He was a cool guy so I dont know why he lied about his mods or maybe he didnt understand what I was asking him who knows.

sorry for the angle he wouldnt switch lanes with me because the right lane is shitty lol

Charger SRT8 vs New 2011 Charger R/T
They did an excellent job on the New Charger's interior and features the looks still to me are to soft.

Intake, Exhaust and a Tune really wakes up the SRT8, especially on the top end

Nice runs. I'm really surprised at how well that srt8 rolls out with those mods. Do you have LT headers?

Ive ran a stock GT500 (not the new one) on the street 3 times and I beat him from a dig and 10 mph rolls by about a car length. I have yet to run a true bone stock 5.0 on the street but at the 1/4 and 1/8 mile tracks I have no problem pulling on them.

I dont have LT's but Im considering it, from what I hear the SRT8's come from the factory with LT style headers so the gains are minimal.
I thank JayPlaySS2 for pointing me in the right direction for the basic mods and Deuuuce (idk how to spell it lol) for telling me how to run it. There was a night and day difference after the intake and tune I gained almost 5mph in the 1/8 with a 91 Oct tune, I want to try the 93 but cant find 93 around here to save my life.

Was you guys running 1/8th mile? Seemed like short runs.

Maybe cause you have windows up. But that 5.0 seemed really quite for having exhaust. Maybe he just had axle back though.

Either way pretty cool videos.

Nice Kill on the GT500.

Everyone ran slow times yesterday i dont know if it was the heat or the DA here in Cali, The best I could get lastnight was a 8.47@88.3 which is my slowest time with these mods so far. For reference that GT500 ran a best of 8.63@87.1 yesterday and a full bolt on 5.0 was doing 8.2@90 on some what looked to be 15" radials and a H/C stalled C5 did 8.1@93

Yea thats what I keep hearing but I have to get me a Full bolt on 5.0 kill at the strip, everytime I run one the announcer always makes it dramatic and I end up a car or so behind. I think I would have a better chance with the Stock wheels and some radials.

WHat is temp and DA when ran..

I will b e running July 9th in TX. Our DA right now ranges from 2600-3800 depending on time of day. Also right now heat is 95-110.

Note I am looking forward to that heat..Where I am now its been 130+ already. With never getting below 90 at night.

Wow. Must be terrible DA (well over 3000ft) or the timing system is jacked.
