i will agree that everything a GT500 has is put together much better than in my car..but to me it's just not worth the extra 30k priice difference...30k is ALOT of money...to me it's just a matter of i used to think a GT500 was nearly invincvible untill i raced and beat pretty much every one i came across..it's like if you believed Superman was invincible untill you see him get killed...then your like..well he was'nt all that lol

Just some of the things that come to mind why it would be worth more than your car.

ppl pay 50k not because of the supercharger or the forged internals...they pay 50k becuase it says SHELBY on the back of it
and i think 40k would be a more reasonable price for them new...
they are cool...but they are far more impressive to you than they are to me...do i really need to post up vids on here of me beating a couple GT500's ??..because i can
my daily driven procharged SS makes easy work of them..hell...it make easy work of any mustang for the most part...i know there are many of them out there that are faster than my SS...i just have'nt ran into them yet
but you would think with the sea of mustangs out there on the road there would be more around with more than 250 RWHP lol...altho i'm happy Ford finally made a fast mustang GT when they made the new 5.0...now atleast there will be some fast NON highly modded mustangs out there on the road

Point of the GT500 is you can sink $500 in it and make a 5.0 look stupid. After you buy it the dollar to performance goes through the roof. This should be obvious but you know, some people.....

and YES AFTER you buy it and you mod it then yes the GT500 has a better dollar performace i'm not gonna argue that..very easy to make faster with pullies and what not...but for the extra 20k you would be saving buying the 5.0..you can take only 10k..procharge it..gears..stall..exhaust and run low 10's!..it's been done
if your goal is to have a fast daily driven 10 or 9 second mustang...a 5.0 is your best choice all the while saving plenty enough money to pay for track days and gas money that will be needed when beating up on the GT500 lol

i'm sure Ohioborn will agree here that if he had the extra 20k he would have bought a GT500 instead of his 5.0..he said that earlier in this thread
seriously tho MR. 308 RWHP ( oh i forgot you don't even have 308 RWHP anymore LOL) ...if you think 20k is nothing then maybe you would have a nice car...HA..i bet you wish you had my late 90's car huh..istead of your Taurus???...

You must run into some winners. My 99 Cobra (the year that was very over rated, made like 259rwhp stock) with never having the valve covers off ran 10.9@126mph with close to stock weight (no rear seats/bigs and littles), a little P1sc, and a set of gears. **** was thrown together and ran better than your motor swapped/face plated shifted/heavy weight reduction/Ford front lip for better aireodinamix/daily driver.
The best part about you is not only is it hilarious how up your car's *** you are but you can spell worth a ****. But please don't change who you are, you are one of the reasons I cannot take this section off my favorites.

**** was thrown together. A lettle 281cid ovar ratid motor with 11psi threw it. Took the back seats out (all of 45lbs) then put them bak in after I was done. Wasn't worth the truble. Hell maibe when you drop in the 427cid motor and take mowre weight out your car you can run 10's!!!!

Damn.. some funny **** going on in here.lol who cares what brand of car someone drives or how much they paid for it.I see alot of people on here that talks **** about a members car when **** talking persons car won't even get out of it's own way...If you don't make more than 400rwhp than maybe you shouldn't talk ****..

sometimes i talk **** about GT500's (even tho they are pretty cool sometimes) and sometimes i talk **** about Termi cobra's( also awesome cars) or other boosted mustangs...but you know what ppl's???..i can show you a vid of me beating nearly any type of mustang you can think of ( withing limits such as a daily driver full weight street car)
i know i talk alot of **** guy's but really...it's all in fun,
but see me at the track and i'm in mustang kill mode lol
