psshh... i will walk a stock 87 trans am in my DOHC saturn all day, YES DOHC thats 16 valves for only 4 cylinders. How many valves does your v8 have? Yep 16... 16 valves in a 4 cylinder>16 valves in a v8. How many valves in a liter bike? yep 16v 4 cylinder. But my saturn is a 1.9liter compared to the biggest bike is what a 1.4 liter? 1.4 liters put up a fight but by 73 mph ive got atleast one saturn fender on them. 600's on the other hand are easy work because lets face my motor is 3 times the size!!! even though the op's v8 has only 16 valves it is an LS1 so i can see him winning, though not by much. Now only if he had a 5.0 with 32valves. Thats like 2 racing 4 cylinders welded together and if caution isnt used could alter the earths axis.

That's about how your average "street" rider is gonna do on a modern 600 when they go to the track. Guys who have been riding a while but never raced or worked on launching technique will be lucky to crack a high 11.

True story, a few guys I know have stretched 600's with light mods and the best they have gone was 11.3@128. Most runs are 11.6's at 126+. I ran an 11.69@118 on my 100% stock 07 ZZR 600. No lowering on springs or nothing. Exactly how you buy it off the showroom floor. I told them to let me ride their biikes and I will get them a 10 second pass.

That's pretty much it. I went consistent 11.1's @ 126 with this bike when I went to LVD in a 1600 DA. Bone stock with no strapping, stretching, or lowering. Then I took it up to Loudon to scrape the pegs up a bit. I couldn't ever see myself lowering or stretching this bike just for a better timeslip. The drag strip is fun on a bike, but the road course is WAY more fun.

Silly cagers! Racing from a serious triple digit roll is your best chance unless you have a serious drag car......bikes dont like the wind...
