If that was feasible I am sure he would, but So Cal is crawling with stock one's right now. Most people can't drive much less, launch a 300 hp car on the street so that is why I think it would be a good race. His car should go mid 13's in the 1/4, and I pretty sure from a dig an average driver in a Coyote could do the same. I think it could be a good race.
I search for 5.0's to race out here all the time. I cant find one, except the one on the freeway, and I was out on him until I went into 5th gear. I am pretty sure I could get one from a dig. I want to race a GTO but I cant find one. Maybe I should put up a post on Mustangforums and ask a 5.0 to race me, hell if anyone knows of a GTO or 5.0 in the PHX Metro Area I would love to run them.

The average driver in a 5.0 should run high 12's. Bad driver will be in the 13's. Even with your mods if the 5.0 can drive it you will get dusted. Don't let him have any mods then you are really in trouble.

That guy in the altima didn't beat any 6.0 gto unless he was spraying at least a 100 shot, plus bolts ons and tune. I know because I have an altima and I raced my friends ls1 gto, I wouldve needed a lot more power just to stop his pull.

Moral of the story:
If I beat a 5.0 by 4 on the street, then my buddy knows he can run with one on the street. Simple as that.

Sweet my buddy will be in town tonight and tomorrow. I am down to run your buddy anytime anyplace here in the metro area. I am heading out to the car show at The Scottsdale Pavilions tonight around 9 o'clock and I will see if he want to tag along.

Ahahaha!! Remember, I'm not against the altima, I own an SER and I wish I could say I could run with a GTO, but it's not gonna happen. FYI, you might want to know a few more details about my Mach before you bring it into the conversation like that which is has nothing to do with because it will just make you look bad.

No I am not new to the LS platform. I have been street racing for 11 years. My friend has been street racing for 25 years. This Altima is his family car. His street car, is a Datsun 240 with a ZZ383 that goes mid 10's on a 6 inch wide drag radial. Ask anybody in So Cal about the little Z from the High Desert.
The whole point was, I finally have something that beat him in a race. He has told me for years, I will never own anything that will be him. So basically I can beat his family car, and get raped by his street car.

BTW, I know people that have been "street racing" for years and they know diddly about cars.
Just saying.
I mean, just a month ago you thought LS1s could be chipped.
You will easily lose if the mustang owner can drive his car even half decently.

Yeah they put out about 370 to the ground. Stock. There was a mustang club at Irwindale they were running mid 8's in the 1/8. Not everyone can drive a new 5.0 into the 12's on street tires (not drag radials) on the street. My car might put out 310 to the rear wheels, and I will give a stock 5.0 a run and possibly beat him with 60 to 80 less hp. I will post on Mustangforums and ask someone to run me at the track or on the street. I will then post it up here. I have nothing to lose. I like the new 5.0's. I will even ask any reasonably modded f-body or GTO in the PHX Metro area to run. I don't swing from the nuts of the LS based flatforms, I drive what I like, and really don't have a brand loyalty.

Also what do you consider reasonably modded.

I only asked because you called it a 6.0 GTO instead of an LS2 GTO.

Just saying.
See, comments like this and calling an LS2 GTO a 6.0 lead me to believe you don't know much about many different car makes.

I am searching to run either. If I get beat by a "LS2" GTO, or a new 5.0 it is all fun and games for me.
If I beat them both, I beat them both. If I lose, I lose. I am not losing any money or sleep. One thing I have learned in street racing is, "Nothing is what it seems on the street".

And my cat back, lidded LS1 has already lost to a 5.0 on the freeway. Could really care less about Mystic, at least I am willing to run whatever, film it, and have fun.
Hopefully one day and many mods later, I can run a C6Z and hold my own, right now............*** kicking city.
